@PCWibble There’s a lot of issues to this.
Neurodiversity is rife in most good policing teams, undiagnosed ADHD likely one of the biggest.
It’s right to support officers with neurodiversity and MH issues but there must be an expectation that people can actually perform the role safely.
If anyone, like me, is fuming about the @nationalrailenq terrible app update… I have a solution for you!
Works much like the old National Rail App and because it doesn’t need to load ticket prices, it’s fairly fast for on the go checks to avoid disruptions.
Hope it helps!
Test day today for the med students - a variety of trauma first aid topics assessed: pelvic splints, chest seals, tqs, defibs, igels, penthrox etc. Some very impressive stuff. Invaluable to have @HEMSRLH students and @Ldn_Ambulance staff as stooges/assessors too.
Police officer appears to punch protester in the face during arrest at violent London demo. Footage of a police officer landing blows on a protester during his arrest at a London demo this evening (July 31).
@MrKieranBradley there is no such thing as a national policing reserve in the UK. It’s called mutual aid. Officers who should be working in one place, being redeployed to another.
@HitsCornwall@DC_Police@surflifesaving These existed in vehicles when I first joined counties in 2015. London has had them at least since 2019, probably longer.
@DC_Police - congratulations on catching up 👏🏼
@HitsCornwall - might be worth fact checking your statements in future.
@ReasonableCop@01DWO Fully agree, L2 training doesn’t offer any benefit to the world of neighbourhood policing, as much as officers want the opportunity. If anything it will be a detriment and reduce the number of NPT officers able to focus on their role.
