@Bobbi_Donoghue Liverpool have spent around £250m net over the past three transfer windows and brought in around 15 first-team players. That sounds like some seriously good planning to me.
Add Barcola and Mbaye for another £200m, and that’s £450m spent on 17 players, basically a whole squad.
@The_Mighty_Mojo@Jayc_Kop But he has been on the pitch many times this season when we conceded from set pieces. I don’t think it’s a height issue. To blame it on that is just irresponsible.
@midopido21 Thats how you take advantage of throw-ins. Not by letting Gomez twat them into the box like an amateur team. PSG made us look like schoolboys yesterday.
@TaintlessRed Tbf him joining team training means he has been doing a lot of gym/running (mini pre-season) alone for quite a while, there’s a chance he could be even more fitter now than he was before.
@yakobper90@RunWithTheFloMo I think the main reason is that Mo, despite his incredible numbers over the years, was never a player who consistently performed well. He’d always pop up with a goals after shocking performances. To explain more simply, a lot of people appreciate performances and not numbers.
@TaintlessRed I’d start him against Newcastle based on his defensive awareness and correct positioning. Pace is most of the times easier to deal with if you position yourself correctly. I assume we’ll have most of the possession, having a more defensively aware player on the pitch benefits us.
@JayadevKJ15@Micks2B If you drop to the levels that we have, at one point you have to use what you have. Rio, Endo, Chiesa, Ramsay, Nyoni should all be getting more minutes. Still baffled how he didn’t start Ramsay in the FA cup.
