Love this! Cities are for people, not cars. Yet, we allocate so much precious space to the automobile. There's a reason why cities with the best quality of life around the world have fewer cars. More parks, housing and less noise/carbon pollution.

Nobody has the right to put millions of other people in danger. Yet that’s exactly what these drivers are doing on a near-daily basis — the top 10 super speeders in New York were caught by school zone speed cameras an average of 179 times each, at least once every other day.
I’m sure it’s been talked about, but the fact that a show with a primarily Black cast is doing this well and is the best comedy on network television is absolutely amazing. Go, Quinta!
I watched this interview. They gutted the State Department so our embassies in the region find themselves unable to assist American citizens, affected by this war, because they literally don’t have the resources.
WTF????
Refusing to building supportive housing for those who would otherwise be homeless means more people homeless in our streets and parks, AND higher public costs for all of us. It’s as simple as that. #UrbanTruth
This is how a city can accelerate its slide into bankruptcy while also killing its residents.
Next time a driver kills someone on this road, the victim's family will be able to say the city deliberately made the street more dangerous, and sue them into oblivion.
I’m not a fan of politicians trying to make people angry for votes by claiming there actually IS a “war on cars” (there isn’t — if anything there’s been a war on every OTHER way of getting around since the 1960s).
A politician just made the claim on LinkedIn. Here’s the reply I posted. #UrbanTruth
Instead of improving safety, the lower speed limit undermines a century-old cycling tradition, misapplies state law and sets a troubling precedent for recreational cycling in New York City.
This project - which was part transit extension, part archaeological dig under one the world’s most historically significant sites - is substantially cheaper than Chicago’s entirely elevated Red Line Extension.
Need a word for the phenomenon where people think things used to be nicer because the nice things are the only things from past eras that got preserved or photographed.

Vickie Paladino does not belong anywhere near power. The vile racism she is spewing, including calls for the expulsion of Muslims, is disqualifying for an elected official. It is an abuse of office that deserves consequences. The Standards and Ethics Committee must fast-track proceedings so she can be formally censured, and I will proudly vote to do so.
Her conduct is a stain on the City Council and an insult to a city that is proudly home to nearly one million Muslims.
"Why is Chicago building protected bike lanes? Nobody rides in them 6 months a year when it's cold here."
Here's what we saw in the downtown Dearborn Street PBLs during a 4-minute bike ride on Wednesday 12/10 around 4 PM (not peak rush hour), when it was about 32F.
