@Fran_ADK@Atlntct You said generalisms are invalidated WHEN THERE ARE significant differences between cultures. This statement is made without regard for what kind of generalism is in question. It means, as long as there are significant differences, you can’t make general statements. It’s crap.
@Fran_ADK@Atlntct I read the original post. I’m not arguing that the academics were right in their generalizations. I’m saying it’s stupid to then conclude that because their generalizations were incorrect, it is thus invalid to generalize about Africa, because of its diversity.
@Fran_ADK@Atlntct Again, you are saying nonsense. If I make a general claim about human beings that’s based on the similarities between them, all the human diversity in the world is totally irrelevant to the truth of that general claim.
@Fran_ADK@Atlntct Generalisms can be wrong in particular instances, but that doesn’t make them wrong in principle. The claim that are more genetic differences between Africans than Europeans is nonsense as well. It depends on the context of the generalist claim that’s being made.
@Fran_ADK@Atlntct That’s nonsense. No amount of differences between two groups invalidates anything about any generalist point if the point is centered around similarities. In that context, the differences are irrelevant.
@henrybearcroft Also, Julius Branson seems to have some connection with you (at least I find him to be as grounded and empirical, even if the similar style of writing and presentation is just my imagination), do you know how I can find him on Twitter?
@henrybearcroft Hey, Henry Bearcroft.
You have the most brilliant blog/substack on the “dissident right.” Your substack has not been updated for a while, and it kind of feels like starvation to me. Should I be looking forward to an update anytime soon?
@DemolaRewaju@Josi_Elewa 4) Atiku hasn’t shown the revolutionary fevor required to go against the overall agenda of “cabal” which constitutes the most powerful clique of lobbyists in the Nigerian Governmental apparatus? Why do you all believe this nonsense?
@DemolaRewaju@Josi_Elewa Why do you believe that Atiku can make Devolution of Powers reality even though 1) The senate is needed to make this happen 2) The Senate is dominated by the Northern Elite 3) The Northern Elite does not want restructuring
@DemolaRewaju@Josi_Elewa I’ve read Atiku’s manifesto. Fairly decent stuff. He’s indeed the only candidate worth talking about. But I have some questions concerning this raging optimism. Why do you have high confidence in 1) Atiku’s ability to implement these plans 2) His sincerity to implement them?
“Cultural appropriation” is an utterly retarded concept. It makes not the slightest bit of sense and it takes absolutely moron to actually take it seriously. It’s idiotic.
@LePorcellane Their models, of entities with specific characteristics and interconnected systems, have had a larger impact on modern Metaphysics than any other field bar actual dedicated metaphysical studies. A good example of this is Deleuze and his concept of the Rhizome.
