Our new virtual wards operational framework is out! Very proud to have led on its development with @carissagilbert_, having both freshly joined the national team. Huge thanks to all the people who fed into this key national guidance for the benefit of patients and their families.
A fantastic day for the virtual wards/hospital at home programme today, with new evaluation findings across 22,000 admissions in @NHSsoutheast showcasing the significant impact of VWs/HaH services on reducing hospital admissions and delivering cost benefits 🙌🏻 Do take a look!
1/ Creating comprehensive community-based falls services for people falling at home (inc care homes) in every ICS will help reduce “long lies” - people waiting too long for ambulances, who just need to be lifted.

Earlier this month, we had a wonderful time hosting the @NHSEnglandCHS national urgent community response team visit at Clayponds.
We were able to share the impact we’re having, seeing people at home within 2hrs when they're in crisis, helping avoid hospital admissions. 💛
‘We don’t have any data on community health services’ ….. we do now and are turning the tide with the first standardised data now published in #2hourcommunityresponse get in contact with the @NHSEnglandCHS team for more information https://t.co/81PpMs2hsd

Great to hear @Dochayter and colleagues at @ConfedExpo#NHSConfedExpo#community on next steps for community care models across health & social care through UCR, EHCH, AC & VW, echoing the findings from the Fuller review.
Fascinating talk by @DavidOlusoga at #NHSConfedExpo on the huge contribution of migration, particularly from former British colonies, to the expansion of the #NHS since its creation, urging us to do more to tackle institutional #racism and improve knowledge of migration history✨

Very proud of the phenomenal progress made by the #UCR accelerator sites over the past 2 years. Despite COVID-19, they have shown that 2-hour UCR can be replicated across England and helped to accelerate the rollout of the standard nationally - the first of its kind in the world!
Thank you @MRowlandPhysio, @KerryKaur3 and the rest of the amazing LLR team! An absolute mutual privilege indeed. We’ve learnt so much from you all. 💫🌟✨
Breaking news-the Govt has accepted 3 changes to the Health Bill to define health to include mental health, improve the transparency and accountability of mental health funding and place a duty on the new ICBs to have mh expertise. Important step forward for mental health parity
Great opportunity to work alongside the fabulous @KateJopling. Speaking as a former ‘client’, I’ve always enjoyed collaborating with her. Her outputs have been brilliant!
Freelance opportunity: Over the years from time to time I've found myself needing extra support with research aspects of different projects and I've worked alongside some brilliant early career researchers who've done e.g. literature reviews / basic data analysis etc 1/3
