Hi everyone, we have some exciting news!
Leafborn is now being developed by a team of three. I’m @HasanTarhans, working on the technical side, while @progjent and @apolloox3d are developing the game’s visual world.
The game is becoming more stylized, vibrant, and unique.
You can support us on Patreon to get exclusive content, special Discord roles and channels, and access to future early playtests. Your support helps us spend more time on Leafborn.
You can also wishlist and follow Leafborn on Steam, join our Discord, and support us by sharing the post ❤️

Dice Carnival is out now on Steam.
I’m really sorry for the delay, and thank you so much for all the support you showed during this stressful process. You can play Dice Carnival now with the launch discount.
Thank you for waiting. It means a lot.

I'm also thinking about starting a Patreon account, which would offer perks like early access to behind-scenes videos and early access to playtests. Would you be interested in joining something like that?
A lot of comments came in, so first of all, thank you. I tried to reply to most of them, but I couldn’t keep up with all of it.
A lot of people are suggesting similar things. I’m also considering changing the character’s color as its health goes down. The leaves will get brighter and maybe the leaf count will decrease slightly too.
I can’t put a skeleton, branches or anything solid inside the character. It’s supposed to be a storm of leaves, something fluid and constantly moving.
Thanks again for all the feedback. I’ve read your comments and wanted to reply to them together like this, otherwise I’d have to post the same answer over and over.

Hey everyone, a lot of people have suggested reducing the character’s leaf count instead of using a health bar.
I want to explain why that is difficult. The character’s whole feel and visual identity depend on the leaves. If I reduce them too much, the character starts disappearing and loses that sense of form and presence.
Changing the color could work, so I’m considering that. My goal is to create a health system that is clear and easy to understand. Honestly, the most familiar solution is still a health bar, and I don’t want to avoid it just for the sake of being different. Playability and readability matter more than anything else.
That said, I’d love to hear any creative ideas you might have.

@25THPRMR Yeah, it wouldn't be bad to have a health bar in UI, that gives a similar feel. I'll think about that
Leafy Character, Fluid UI, Leafy Game hmmmm
@flyonthewallet Yeah, Im considering a color change too. As the character loses health, the leaves could start to fade. The wrinkling is a nice idea as well. As long as it doesnt hurt performance.
@kelhatoke Evet bunu planlıyordum bende, burada da tek sorun farklı renklerde yapraklar toplayabiliyoruz, orada biraz kafa karıştırıcı olur gibi geldi. Her rengin soluklaştığında da anlaşılırlığını korumam gerekiyor.
@Phormath Evet, şimdi bunu düşündüm, yapraklarda 2-3 aşamalı bir geçiş olur, can barı yine durur. Çünkü günün sonunda roguelite bir action oyunu canını çok net görebilmen gerekiyor
@nanimonull Yeah, that could be a good middle ground. I probably can’t reduce the leaf count too much because the character starts losing its shape, but a slight loss of density at very low HP combined with a color change could work
