Then there's other cases where the GM makes a bad team and fires the coach for not making bad players into a good team. I'm not too sure why Gibby is still around, and I'm especially not sure why we gave him that contract before last year...

Watching the games it seems like these people under performing are not doing the little things right (mental mistakes, not running out ground balls). These are the kinds of things that demonstrate a manager not being in charge.

Not going to place to all the blame on Gibby as many players are under performing and there was some injuries. However, this is a team that was stacked and didn't succeed in the playoffs a couple times. Now we still have tremendous talent that is under performing

Like I don't think Carrick is a hero or ever will be but he DOES HIS JOB. He's perfect to play with a guy like Gardiner who makes a lot of mistakes because he's back to help and is good defensively. Carrick is a great fit for this team at this stage and should stay in the lineup.

The leafs currently have a record of 25-16-3....

They're 18-5-1 with Carrick in the lineup...

Therefore they are 7-11-2 without playing Carrick yet I read an article saying how he's played himself out of a roster spot this year
