@vlamers Outrageous. My husband & I just got over Covid. I never had a fever and sx were improving, but I tested + on rapid tests for 12 days. I cannot imagine just walking around contagious like that 😷

@EmilyVanDuyne We recently made the decision to pull toddler from nursery school until after spring break bc level of sickness unsustainable w work, challenges to accessing care right now, & immune compromised big kid catching everything. It’s a nightmare right now.

Hello. Young kids back in school are so sick right now. Everyone with a preschooler has an entire household of sleepless viral cough snot fevers for the past two months without a fucking break. So if you know a parent going through this, be kind and gently hit them with your car.

@vlamers We always talk about young kids but I didn’t realize RSV can be so dangerous for older adults too. We just canceled a visit w grandparents this weekend. We *may* be past contagious, but didn’t want to risk it!

@vlamers When my daughter got dx with RSV last week the ER doc called it as soon as he looked at her while we waited for swab results. Said they’ve had TONS of RSV cases in recent weeks. It’s everywhere! If I had an infant I’d probably hide at home!
