Had a good call with Ukraine’s DPM @TarasKachka on Ukraine’s EU accession path. Commended progress on key reforms, reaffirmed Malta’s strong support for Ukraine’s membership, and underlined the importance of a merit-based process and EU unity moving forward.
While global uncertainty is on the rise, Fitch Ratings confirm our country as an A+ economy and state “Malta has one of the strongest growth performances among Fitch rated sovereigns”. Prosperity and stability remain our focus. - RA

Late last night, I welcomed @EUCouncil President-elect @antoniolscosta to #Malta, ahead of important talks with @MaltaGov@RobertAbela_MT in #Valletta today.

Yet again the @EU_Commission revised upwards its economic forecast for Malta. At 5% this year we will again have the highest growth among all countries, more than five times the EU average. Inflation and unemployment will both continue to decline. - RA
