Never make a decision on the day you are insulted.

That day belongs to the man who insulted you.

Sometimes in your 20s or 30s you’ll get the opportunity to rebuild your life after a negative & traumatic loop. Heal from what broke you, live in your own space. Reconnect with your discipline and learn to love yourself again. It’s very important that you see that journey through

a nigga gotta learn how to enjoy the process, because chasing success while hating every part of your current life will wear you down.

There’s a concept in relationship psychology called the Michelangelo phenomenon that I think is one of the most underrated ways to tell whether a relationship is actually good for you.

It goes like this:

[biggFred 🗣 @Rozzinho_732]

life will humble you in ways you never saw coming. one day you're giving people advice about their problems, the next day you're sitting alone trying to figure out how to fix your own without telling anybody

[Chaitanya Bajpai @cbajpai7]

never ever look desperate in life, especially when everything around you is falling apart.

remain calm.

money's gone? stay calm.
heartbroken? stay calm.
all your plans collapsed? stay calm.
panic changes nothing, and desperation makes you do humiliating shit. beg for opportunities, chase people who have already left, accept disrespect, make terrible decisions, all because you're terrified of uncertainty and silence.

learn to contain yourself. you will be back up.

learn to accept that sometimes it's simply your turn to suffer. there isn't always a deeper explanation, a hidden lesson or some grand reason behind it. sometimes life just beats the shit out of you, and right now it's your turn.

stop asking "why me?"

well, why not you?

you asked for strength. did you expect strength to arrive wrapped in comfort?

anybody can look strong when life is easy. what's so impressive about that? the real test of character is whether you can remain composed when everything around you is burning. hard times have a way of revealing whether your strength was actually character or just a facade built on favourable circumstances.

you want to know the real flex? life's a complete shitshow and you move anyway. straighten your posture, get your head right and keep going.

lost money? make it again.
lost a person? keep moving.
lost the plan? build another one.
lost your footing? stand up again.

but never, ever lose yourself.

don't let a temporary season of suffering turn you into someone you wouldn't respect when life gets better.
and one day, the same season that nearly took you out will become a story you tell casually. not to prove how strong you were, not to seek sympathy, but because you're genuinely past it. because you've lived long enough to realise just how temporary all of this shit really is, and understand that staying composed doesn't mean pretending nothing hurts. you can grieve, you can be exhausted, you can admit that life is fucking terrible right now. just don't let your suffering make your decisions for you.

never be desperate. take the hit, keep your posture, protect your dignity and let life test how badly you actually want to become the person you've always envisioned.

you can lose almost everything and still rebuild.

just make sure you don't lose yourself in the process.

Corporate promotions are fascinating.

The guy who quietly fixes production issues gets more production issues.

The guy who makes presentations about those production issues gets promoted.

And the guy who caused those production issues is now leading an initiative to prevent them.

[Omoalhaja @omoalhajaabiola]

The smartest broke people I know all have the same problem

They refuse to sell themselves

They think:
- Self-promotion = cringe
- Marketing = sleazy
- Selling = desperate

So they stay brilliant, humble, and broke.

The market can't pay you if it can't find you

You will avoid a lot of problems if you correct & set people straight...the first time.

Personally and Professionally.

Don't allow bad behaviors to become patterns.
Always interrupt them early.

Chill at work. The company isn’t yours. You’re just selling your life away for a salary. You’re 100% replaceable.

If you’re an anxious person, just do everything for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. ANXIETY FEEDS ON IMPORTANCE. Do not make everything a matter of life and deaťh.

A peak life advice from Brian Armstrong:

“Action produces information. If you're unsure of what to do, just do anything, even if it's the wrong thing. This will give you information about what you should actually be doing. Sounds simple on the surface - the hard part is making it part of your every day working process.”
