Our 12th VersaHD linac went clinical on Friday. For the first time in our history we have 12 matched linear accelerators in Leeds. @LeedsHospitals@Elekta
The last of our original linacs is being removed today. LA02 is being replaced by our 12th @Elekta VersaHD. Linac 2 started life as a research platform and was used to deliver the first clinical treatment using the Agility collimator @Leeds_Cancer
Earlier this month, Arthur, a sculpture created by Jill Atley, found a permanent home at Castle Hill Hospital.
Jill sadly passed away from cancer, and it was her final wish for Arthur to be placed at the hospital, bringing comfort to those who visit 💙
