Millions of people overseas love Japanese manga.
Over the past few days, I’ve once again realized just how strong that passion truly is.
That passion is truly beautiful.
It should never be taken lightly.
It deserves better access.
In many countries, it’s still difficult to read Japanese manga legally.
Why is that still the case in 2026?
What makes it difficult in your country?
Tell me where you’re from and what the biggest obstacle is.
I want to know what I can personally do to help change this.

@_lulublue_ I also believe that ballots have been thrown out, people with the right to vote have been denied, and pivotal ballot counting positions have been stacked with fanatics. I'm not going to blame people whose rights have been undermined for the crimes of others.
For what it's worth, I believe this election has been rigged by denying votes to people whose rights have been violated and maliciously discounting votes based on false premises.
I don't believe an entire country is this stupid. Some of it, sure. But not enough to ratify this.
Normally we don't endorse anyone, but Donald Trump is such a unique danger to the United States of America and the rest of the world. We implore you to show up and VOTE tomorrow
It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today:
– Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them.
– Don’t share things before checking your sources.
– Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.
If you are in line before the polls close, stay in line.
It is your right to make your voice heard. If you have any trouble casting your ballot, call our Voter Assistance Hotline: 833-336-8683.
@erikkain You spoke for me, almost word for word, as both a Tolkein fan and simply as a consumer who wants to be impressed by great dialogue and character/world-building as much as fancy costumes and brilliant music.
This everything I've been saying about RoP. Flowery dialogue that says nothing. Promises given in one breath and contradicted in another. Making Galadriel-GALADRIEL!―an endless victim of mysogeny and mansplaining! Even the lack of consideration for natural racial evolution.
And those in Japan, many of you are feeling very anxious. The first priority is your own safety. Please act calmly. We are praying for your safety from the bottom of our hearts.
Yesterday's earthquake has not resulted in the kind of tsunami that hit Tohoku in 2011, but the earthquakes aren't over yet. @UN_NERV is sharing information on aftershocks, which have been occurring over and over all night and into the morning.
