The biggest problem with America right now is that we donโt know how good we have it.
This talk of tariffs and bringing back manufacturing is nonsense. In global terms, itโs like a surgeon wishing they could instead clean the surgery toilets.
Maybe this is what the country needs: a complete meltdown, so people will wish for the "good old days" of 2024, when unemployment was 4%, everyone who wanted a job had one, most could afford their own place to live or rent, and they had all modern conveniences at their fingertips.
You can literally work from home, have food delivered to your door, and spend your days watching a 75โ TV while instantaneously communicating with anyone across the country. It would be mind-blowing to those in the 1950s.
Still, itโs not enough. More, more, more.
The US, like many countries, has an issue with home buying affordability, but this is a relatively new problem in recent history. Still, most can afford to rent, and there is record low unemployment.
Spend five minutes in a country with real problems, and you will know all about it. Those complaining about having enough money for โfood in tableโ donโt know what hunger is, and could likely do with shedding a few pounds from their lives of relative excess.
