Gaza… Soaked in Rain, as It Was in Blood
Today, Gaza drowned once again—this time in rain.
Fragile tents collapsed under storms that followed months of bombardment and destruction. Children, women, and men were left with no shelter, no warmth, and no safety.
What war did not finish, the storm tried to complete.
Soaked bedding, flooded tents, cold biting into children who have barely recovered from the terror of airstrikes.
Gaza’s children drowned twice today:
Once in the rain inside their tents,
And once in the silence of a world that watched—and did nothing.
Yet Gaza still stands.
Wounded, flooded, exhausted—yet unbroken.
It does not wait for miracles…
It waits for a conscience.
The atmosphere in Gaza is terrifying for families living in tents. Nearly the entire population has no roof to protect them as they brace for the hardest hours ahead—while Israel continues to block the entry of even the most basic shelter materials.
BREAKING | Infant Dies from Extreme Cold in Gaza
The death of six month old Rahaf Abu Jazar has just been confirmed at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. She succumbed to the severe cold wave hitting Gaza, a new cause of death emerging for Palestinians after months of burning, starvation, and beatings.
Medical officials warn that more infants may die in the coming hours.
Gaza’s terrain, especially in Al-Mawasi, is made of loose sand dunes where tents collapse within minutes of heavy rain.
This is a call to urgently restore public pressure and demand Israel allow caravans and mobile homes into Gaza. After two years of relentless destruction, Gaza should be receiving protection and relief, not deeper punishment.
“My name is Sadie, and I am currently aboard the Conscience Freedom Flotilla ship. I am here because the Canadian government has made me complicit in a genocide, and I have a duty to take action against that...”
A Turkish activist described shocking abuse against climate campaigner Greta Thunberg during Israel’s raid on the Global Sumud Flotilla. “They dragged little Greta by her hair before our eyes, beat her, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag. They did everything imaginable to her, as a warning to others,” Ersin Celik, a flotilla participant, told Anadolu Agency.
A plane carrying 137 activists from the flotilla, including 36 Turkish citizens, landed in Istanbul today. The group was welcomed by families, journalists, and supporters after their ordeal at sea. The activists had joined the mission to break the blockade on Gaza and deliver aid, before Israeli forces intercepted their ships.
The people of Gaza thank the Global Sumud Flotilla for giving them an opportunity to fish by distracting the occupation forces whose mission is genocide by hunger.
