Due to technical issues, Crown was briefly kicked out of zoom court. Court wasn't sure whether they should log off or just wait for him to come back.
I suggested stays of proceedings for want of prosecution.
Alas. My request garnered many chuckles but no stays.
Most importantly though - what are the differences between WhatsApp and Signal?
Signal doesn't just offer end-to-end encrypted content, but it also encrypts the metadata of conversations. This is like encrypting what's on the outside of an envelope as well as the letter inside.
Just found this statement at the bottom of a legal opinion found on Westlaw: "This Order is not intended for publication. Nor is it intended to be included in or submitted to any online service such as Westlaw or Lexis." Better luck next time, I guess.
I read this thread twice. I’m guilty of giving some of the advice in this thread. I’m not sure if I’m in the right or wrong. Not sure if I agree with it all. But I’m listening. It’s worth a read because older lawyers (like me) definitely need to adjust how we think.
