Cannabis could prevent and treat Covid-19, say scientists - My London
https://t.co/ZthWMbOLOp
Scientists from the University of Lethbridge in Canada say some strains of cannabis affect the ACE2 pathways the virus uses to get into the body.
@SimonHarrisTD Covid has had an extremely negative impact on the well-being of the Irish, as well as the economy as a whole.
Cannabis legalization could minimize the negative effects the covid19 virus has had on us big time, do your research and do what's right Simon!
Legalize cannabis!
@Niall_Boylan It is known how harmful and damaging alcohol can be, if the whole country where to be smoking as much as we were drinking I can assure you that there would be a whole lot less violence and crime. I would prefer my own son or daughter to smoke/consume cannabis rather than drink.ty
@Niall_Boylan "I don't know if I want them to live in a country where the government is saying sure its grand you can smoke your brains out if you want"
Hi Niall, this you said on the 6th of May's podcast - We live in Ireland, where alcohol is freely available, and really at no limits.
@SimonHarrisTD It's time the right moves are made to save the lives of the Irish people, legalize cannabis.
Lives are being lost to the gangs that are controlling this market, people leave the country to persue freedom and a career in the cannabis industry.
do whats right.

@SimonHarrisTD Ireland's going into a depression, never mind a recession. It's sad, really. I hope the right moves are made.
We demand a vote for cannabis to be legalized Simon, please acknowledge that. I hope the right moves are made as Ireland needs everything after this.

@ReginaDo@drivetimerte Hi Regina, cannabis legalization process in Ireland needs to be done at a faster rate, people are being criminalized for using what is known as a medicine, and a healer.
It's also known that a lot of Irish smoke cannabis for recreational purposes, cannabis laws need changing.
@LeoVaradkar@EUCouncil Hopefully cannabis legalization was discussed, cannabis heals alcohol kills, the Irish people demand their right to freedom, legalization of cannabis should be top priority right now.
As said, the Irish are no longer asking, but demanding.
#WEDEMANDAVOTE
@SimonHarrisTD Simon, the country is in a crisis and has been for a long time. How long will medical user's of cannabis suffer for in Ireland before we follow suit with other countries? The benefits are well known. Taxation, job growth, lower crime rates.
#wedemandavote#IE
@SimonHarrisTD Legalization of cannabis will bring 100's of millions in on tax, crime and murder rates would drop significantly as it has in other countries. The people demand a vote.
People continue to leave the country because of the current laws.
#WEDEMANDAVOTE
@SimonHarrisTD Hard times are ahead, Cannabis legalization would bring in 100's of millions in tax revenue, take the money out of the hands of the criminals, creates tonnes of jobs.
People are leaving the country for years over this, as they are left with no other options.
#WEDEMANDAVOTE
@CormacDevlin Our country needs to change its laws regarding Cannabis. It's always good to take on board the opinion of your people, which has been made clear for many of years.
Parents have suffered, and have kids, without the proper medical pharmaceuticals for long enough. Do us Right

Colorado, which has a similar population to Ireland, totalled $1.7 billion in sales of cannabis related products in 2019. Collecting over $300 million in taxes. We need to take this revenue out of criminals pockets and put it back into our economy.
#takeourcut#WEDEMANDAVOTE
@paulreiddublin@SimonHarrisTD@HSELive The legalization of Cannabis for Medical and Recreational use will drag Ireland out of the coming recession, providing thousands of jobs, and millions in tax revenue.
The legalization of the cannabis industry has proven to have great benefits, economically and medically.
#IE
@SimonHarrisTD Legalization of cannabis has proven to provide millions in tax revenue, and create thousands of jobs.
It is not unheard of for Irish people to leave Ireland to seek a career in the Cannabis industry. It's time we acknowledge the Irish people's wants and needs.
#IE#WEDEMANDAVOTE
@LeoVaradkar Marijuana Legalization is the future, rather than keeping ourselves stuck in the dark ages in regards to what's available Medically we must acknowledge and start doing what is right. Cannabis legalization will have many benefits economically and medically.

@LeoVaradkar@SimonHarrisTD Luke Ming Flanagan within the first 5 minutes made very serious and factual points regarding why cannabis should be legalized in Ireland. It it appalling no action has been taken on behalf of you or any of your predecessors.
