@alicekeeler I schedule lessons and assignments to post throughout the day. I would love the parent view to show all the assignments for the day all at once.
"Asynchronous" will be a watchword in the coming school year. If you're thinking of making videos to serve the diverse needs of your remote learners, here are tips to keep it highly engaging. Excerpted from the fantastic work of @kareemfarah23 and @barnett_tweets.
Don’t mistake educators’ concerns about #COVID19 for weak-mindedness. Think about it. Educators aren’t weak. We aren’t afraid. We aren’t cowards.

@JoAnnFoxEDU A week earlier we were asked to put together a general plan and email to parents. I knew it then, but even though I knew it was going to happen, that Friday was surreal. I felt like I was gearing up for something, but didn’t know what. And I felt sadness...
@rpulido721 I'm a TOSA and the email went out to staff around 10am. It was run run run... put something together for parents and families that shows resources kids can access.

PLEASE don't see the closing of schools like it is a snow day or vacation. Your child should NOT be doing sleepovers, going to movies, etc. #SocialDistancing works best, and needs to be done for a shorter amount of time, when we ALL do our best to isolate.
TEACHERS:1000’s of you work in schools that have been canceled in the upcoming weeks.
Make it UR goal to either call every kid & say hi or write them a letter, telling them what you appreciate about them, recognize the strengths they bring to your classroom! #Significant72
@julnilsmith How many parents are using ‘this is the way’ to get their kids to do stuff without having to explain themselves? Trust me.. been waiting 11 years for this.
