Lagos state government will continue to have crises with waste management as longs the state government is in control on licensing waste collectors. I am appealing to the Lagos state house of assembly members to please protect Lagos state by decentralizing the rights of issuing waste collection to the local government. Alausa can’t handle the crises. Let local government take charge of their environment while the state government play an interventionist role. @GOYishawu

ADC and my observation:

The key movers of the ADC are mostly people who left PDP because of their issue with Wike. This convention is a testament to that.

The Obidient movement are not key stakeholders in the ADC.

Dino Melaye is not an asset but a liability.

Aregbesola is struggling to build the needed momentum, and it is becoming obvious.

Kwankwaso look like a player playing out of position.

Bolaji Abdullahi is playing out of his depth.

Aisha Yusufu can't influence the needed vote.

Serah is still finding her bearing.

Peter Obi is best chance is VP.

Amaechi is not interested in presidency but VP.

El Rufai eyes the presidential ticket but not now. He is playing the long game but he needs the ADC to dislodge Uba Sani as governor. An Atiku presidency is not what he hopes for.

In reality, there is no difference between Ogun state and Lagos state. Both are linked historically and culturally. Epe and Ikorodu are Ijebu land. Ikoyi needs no introduction because it belongs to the Onikoyis who are Oyo people. Ifako-Ijaiye already give you the link to Ijaiye people. Abule-Egba already informs you it is an Egba area.

This why we keep telling your people that Eko(Lagos) is not the same as Lagos State. Eko (Lagos) is a place inside Lagos State just as New York City is a city inside the state of New York.

Between 2014-2016, I was a student of Finance in Yaba College of Technology. Between 2017-2021, I was a student of political Science, University of Ilorin. In Yaba College of Technology, I held the post of Class Governor. In University of Ilorin, i held the post of welfare director for my department in 2018. In those days, as political office holders, we often do crowdfunding for students who have challenges to pay their school charges. 100 level going into 200 level, University of Ilorin, I know how i struggled to raise the charges and hostel fee. I know many friends that are brilliant but did not proceed after secondary school because their parents told them point blank that they couldn't afford to send them to higher institution. In my own case, someone close to me which i will not mention told me point blank in 2017 after I gained admission into University of Ilorin that "I did not think through" because of funding.

That some of you did not have challenges or faced difficulties raising your school fees or charges does not mean we all got it all easy. I know some friends that had to scot from 100 level till they graduated. Even in my condition then, myself and my roommate had to accomodate another friend for a whole session.

Your submission proved two things. One, you dont understand Nigeria because you are not well travelled and maybe you have not lived outside your local government. The north will not become one country because the north is more diversified along ethnic and religous line even more than the south.

2. Which gap will the Ibos create in South west or Lagos State? Is Yoruba land not prosperous before Nigeria came into existense? Are you saying the success of Lagos is because the Ibos are in Lagos State? Going by this Logic, Anamabra and Imo should look like Maimi since it is 98% Ibo in ethnic arrangment.

Back to the north. In eventual splitting, the north is not what you think. It is a region (North East, North West and North Central) of many nations, so if splitting ever happens, the geography of the area will split along ethnic lines, while some may decide to form a federation from the breakaway or form a cofederation..

Speaking of the truth: In 2023, many Yoruba people voted against Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, not because of his records as a governor or senator. Many of you voted against him because he is muslim and your pastors preached against him on your church pulpit.

Many of you equally joined the obidient movement not because you can write a sentence on the good governance of Peter Obi. You joined the movement because for many of you, especially pentcostal christians "religious brotherhood" thrumps good leadership.

INEC CHAIRMAN HAS NO ACCOUNT ON X, DISREGARD PARTISAN FABRICATIONS

The attention of the Office of the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been drawn to a malicious and coordinated campaign of calumny circulating on social media. The false claim alleges that the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, has, in the past, endorsed a partisan post on the platform X (formerly Twitter).

The Commission wishes to state categorically that this allegation is entirely baseless, a total fabrication, and a figment of the imagination of its purveyors. For the avoidance of doubt, the INEC Chairman does not own or operate any personal account on X. He has at no time engaged in partisan commentary, nor has he ever associated himself with any political leaning or activity in his private or public capacity.

This contrived X post is a desperate attempt to impugn the integrity and neutrality of the Chairman at a critical period when the Commission is focused on significant electoral reforms and preparations for upcoming polls. It is a needless distraction designed to stir public distrust in the electoral umpire.

Beyond this partisan mischief, the Commission is aware that cybercriminals have been on the prowl, utilising fake social media accounts in the Chairman’s name to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians. We wish to place it on record that several of such fraudulent accounts had been identified and reported to security agencies in the past. This latest fabrication is merely a continuation of a criminal pattern aimed at exploiting the Commission’s profile for illicit gains.

The Commission will not fold its arms while the character of its leadership is being assassinated by digital imposters and mischief-makers. We wish to notify the public that we are working in close collaboration with relevant security agencies and cyber-intelligence units to track and identify the individuals or groups behind this identity theft and misinformation.

Let it be clearly understood that the Commission will ensure that these imposters face the full wrath of the law. Identity theft and the dissemination of deepfake or forged social media interactions are criminal offenses under the Cybercrimes Act. Those responsible for this mischief will be tracked and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others who believe the digital space is a safe haven for criminality.

The general public is hereby urged to disregard this falsehood in its entirety. We will continue to disseminate official information regarding the Commission and the Chairman’s activities only through our verified institutional channels and formal press statements.

The Commission remains undeterred and fully committed to its mandate of delivering free, fair, and credible elections for all Nigerians.

I am deeply saddened by the tragic killing of Brigadier-General O. Braimah, Commander of the 29 Task Force Brigade, alongside other courageous soldiers, following a coordinated attack on a military camp in Benisheikh, Borno State.

This painful incident is a huge loss to our nation. These gallant officers paid the ultimate price in active service while defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity and standing in the gap for peace, unity, and stability.

I commend their courage, patriotism, and unwavering dedication to duty in the face of persistent security challenges. Their sacrifices will forever remain a part of our national history.

My heartfelt condolences go to the Nigerian Armed Forces and the families of the fallen heroes. May Almighty Allah grant them strength and comfort at this difficult time.

I pray that Allah (SWT) grants the souls of the departed eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus.
