Normalizing impunity and dismantling international law

Nobody should attack ambulances.
Israel has directly attacked at least 30 ambulances in Lebanon.
Israel has attacked 36 ambulances in Iran.
In the past month alone.
South Lebanon is not just rubble & headlines.
Between the towns, villages, & hills lies a landscape of extraordinary beauty: fertile valleys, olive groves, rivers, abundant water resources, ancient archaeological sites, & breathtaking natural vistas that rarely make it into the news.
This is the region Israel has devastated; villages flattened, towns emptied, over 1 million Lebanese displaced since the escalation began.
Yet within the last 48 hours, prominent Israeli voices have openly advocated expanding into southern Lebanon & establishing permanent settlements there, some invoking biblical claims & framing the Litani River as Israel's natural northern border.
At the same time, ultra-orthodox & settler-linked groups (tied to Uri Tsafon) have been advertising properties in southern Lebanon for sale on their websites, listings treating Lebanese land as already controllable, with starting prices around 300,000 shekels ($80,000), urging "return to ancestral land."
The Litani River itself has been a coveted strategic water resource for Israel since early Zionist proposals in 1919, when leaders like Chaim Weizmann argued for its inclusion in the Jewish homeland to support agriculture & immigration - ambitions echoed by Ben-Gurion & Dayan, who viewed it as Israel's natural northern border.
This is not merely about security buffers or temporary military needs.
It is about land acquisition, demographic engineering, annexation, and permanent expansion under the cover of war.
The footage and stills show what they are trying to take: a region of profound natural, historical, and cultural richness.
This is what is at stake, & what the resistance is fighting against, & will not allow to materialise.
This is what the headlines rarely show.
This is what they are trying to steal. 😔🕊️
in light of the controversy this book has garnered, I thought I'd share this video we made a while ago that shows footage and photos of the actual workshops we conducted in Gaza.

This is Eid.
But it doesn’t feel like one.
Not when families in Lebanon, Iran & Gaza, are burying their loved ones, fleeing their homes, & living through yet another brutal war.
Not when entire communities are being displaced, & the region is pushed deeper into chaos.
There is nothing festive about this.
But Eid is also about faith, resilience, & holding on, even in the darkest moments.
So while I cannot say “Happy Eid,” I can still wish you a blessed day.
May it bring you strength, patience, & somehow, a glimpse of peace. 🙏🤲🙏

“Israel threatened to bomb a building in Al-Aqabiyeh, between Sidon & Sarafand, housing doctors’ clinics & a pharmaceutical warehouse.
A civilian medical facility.
With a gas station in close proximity.
They did it.
A dangerous escalation.”

The boy who saw seventy bullets pierce through his family in Tammun said: "I asked the soldier, 'Do you love your father and mother?' He replied, 'Yes.' I said to him, 'Then why are you killing my father and mother?' So he slapped me across the face."

A simple breakdown of what is happening in south Lebanon right now: (translated)
“Good morning everyone.
What is happening?
Let’s try to explain the situation clearly & objectively:
1.The Israeli army is advancing with tanks to occupy Khiam, Odaisseh, Houla & Marjayoun.
2.Lebanese young men are confronting the tanks with the weapons they have & with their lives.
3.The Lebanese state considers these young men outlaws because they belong to Hezbollah & are violating the cabinet decision banning the party’s military activity.
4.The state is abandoning its duty to defend Lebanon, claiming it does not control the decision of war & peace & that it did not start this war
(as if that argument absolves it of its constitutional responsibilities).
No further analysis is needed.
The conclusion is clear.”

Medical neutrality and int’l Humanitarian law require the protection of all those who care for patients in conflict. These are Lebanese medics who should be celebrated for their courage - media instead use language that justifies their targeted execution by Israel
These are not statistics. They are people.
Israel killed children in their homes.
Israel killed medics while responding.
Israel left families buried under the rubble.
Another devastating day in Lebanon.

⚠️ This is what Israel calls a “target bank.”
A family in Nmairiyeh.
Ahmad Hassan Hamdan.
His daughters Kawthar, Fatima & Batoul.
Two grandchildren - Jihad & baby Fatima.
His wife Najiba Abbas Aloul, initially missing, was found today beneath the rubble of their two-storey home.
They had gathered for iftar when an Israeli airstrike destroyed their house in the Ghabra neighborhood.
The WhatsApp message above was written shortly before the strike.
Batoul wrote:
“Where would we go? We are many.
What should we do, sit in the street?
It’s better to die in our home than leave & sleep outside.”
Evacuation orders are pushing hundreds of thousands to flee, turning displacement itself into a weapon of war.
These are not military targets.
These are families.
A home.
An iftar table.
A family.
Killed.
Gone.🥀
