After facing some sudden health challenges for sometime now, I’m finally able to release my statement on the Edo 2024 election. Better late than never.

Since February, we’ve fought through obstacles that could have broken even the strongest spirits. While the election results are in, I want to remind you that our movement is just beginning. In truth, the Edo election was rigged by the very people it sought to serve. I do not condemn them, for I understand the immense economic hardships they face daily. For many, selling their vote seemed like a lifeline. But we must not lose sight of the long-term cost of these short-term gains.

This journey has exposed just how much work remains ahead. We must raise the political consciousness of our people and help them break free from the grip of the ruling class. Only through this will we save our country and give our people the future they deserve.

I want to thank my family, the AAC team, and the amazing people of Edo State for standing with me. The fight for a better Edo, where humanity comes first, is far from over.

Today, Our National Leader , Comrade Omoyele Sowore landed in Nigeria, undeterred by the threats and attempts to arrest him. He was Briefly arrested and then released, he once again proved that clear conscience with courage , determination and conviction always win. If there is anyone that have been misunderstood by Nigerians , it’s the man Omoyele Sowore. Many view him from afar and often misjudge him, but they don’t realize his sincerity and the deep passion he carries for a better Nigeria. He’s not just the outspoken figure people assume wants to stir conflict; he’s someone who understands the inner workings of the ruling class and recognizes the immense potential of our great nation. What he cannot fathom is why we continue to stagnate since independence. That’s why he has dedicated his life, even from the diaspora, to fighting for a country that truly works for its people.

The time has come for us to see clearly and make the right choices, not just complain about the wrong ones. Nigeria’s future is in our hands, and with the right decisions, we can build a country—and an Edo State—that serves everyone. Let’s rally behind courageous, genuine Nigerians like Sowore. The future we want is closer than we think.

I had a crucial meeting with the senior staff members, academic union leaders, professors, and senior members of Ambrose Alli University at the Senior Staff Club, Ekpoma. We discussed the future of our great institution, and the message was clear: we must prioritize education and ensure that Ambrose Alli University thrives. This is not just a school; it’s one of the only two major industries in Edo Central, the lasting legacy of Ambrose Alli, and a lifeline for so many, including myself.
It is our collective responsibility to safeguard this institution, protect the academic unions, ensure its autonomy, and secure the interests of the staff. The survival and growth of this university are vital to the progress of Ekpoma, Esan, Edo State, and Nigeria at large. We cannot allow this beacon of hope to fade. Today, we joined the INEC EDO2024 STAKEHOLDERS MEETING in Benin City, chaired by Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, alongside the IGP, all party candidates, and their deputies. Critical issues were raised, including the troubling pre-election killings, rising insecurity, voter suppression, and unlawful arrests of citizens. Whilst the IGP and INEC Promised maximum security,free and fair election respectively .
Stakeholders agreed on extending the collection of voter cards to ensure no voice is left unheard. Together, we stand for a safe, transparent, and fair election process in Edo State.
