BREAKING: Issue 1 has passed in New York. The measure protects the right to abortion and adds sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, pregnancy outcomes and reproductive healthcare and autonomy to the state constitution’s list of protected classes.
Want an example of a broken system? Florida DIDN’T “reject” the proposal to include a right to abortion in the constitution — they voted 58.2% in favor of abortion rights. But it needed 60% to pass, so it failed WITH A MAJORITY.
Can’t imagine what Florida women must be thinking.

Notice how it's "smart people in tech" and not "smart people in climatology OR meteorology OR atmospheric science", OR literally ANY SCIENCE THAT STUDIES CLIMATE CHANGE! These tech bros are so insular & arrogant. They refuse to acknowledge any actual branch of science.
The West forgets that these sorts of deportations by the Soviets continued until 1952. While America and Britain were enjoying popular songs like Marylin Monroe's "Diamonds are a girls best friend" and Vera Lynn's "Auf Wiederseh'n Sweetheart", Poles, Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Latvians, Belarusians and Estonians were being forcibly deported deep into Soviet Russia where many of them were starved, tortured and forced to work in inhumane conditions. For the west, the war was over, for eastern and central Europe, another occupation had begun.
