@JBBHoops1 Do u think ant taking this insane leap as an overall shooter has kind of masked this a bit for the FO. (Icl I was one of these ppl) but severely doubted his process for multiple RS’s but every PS it comes to fruition that Ant has to hit these shots bc he has no true PNR partner
@JBBHoops1 Said this to during the playoffs. I think with an advantage he is the most dangerous O player itl. Anything self created… needs a few more playoff runs hahahah
Think about this a lot because at the time it was framed as praise for Chet’s instinct to scavenge offense from a game wherever he can find it, rather than a softly alarming structural issue for a franchise dude, and now a year later basically none of this has changed.
(that last Lakers set had LeBron loop to the left to occupy Dort, a Kennard flare to an empty right side and a pindown for Reaves at the end. The set was the set. You put in a screener to clean up and try to get Reaves open)
Rui Hachimura is shooting 56.9% from deep in this postseason. That's the second best in NBA history (min. 50 3PA). OKC's defense has been too aggressive helping off of him all series. I cannot fathom why you would take him off the floor with one possession down three.
Haven’t watched really any of this series. But why coming out of HT is lakers O initiated by reaves/lebron playing to create their own advantage and not maximising their skill set coming off 2nd side action?
BREAKING: The Orlando Magic have dismissed head coach Jamahl Mosley, sources tell ESPN. Mosley's tenure in Orlando finishes after five seasons, including three consecutive playoff runs from 2023 to 2026. Orlando had a first-round elimination for the third straight time Sunday.
Mark Daigneault on Jared McCain’s Game 3: “McCain hasn't played the first two games. He shoots eight shots in seven minutes. I'd much rather that. You’re going to fail in these games. It's hard. If you fail passively, there's no upside to that. If you fail aggressively, there's upside.”
@wiggyyJ@SamQuinnCBS I just think u need to be able to initiate/score simultaneously in crunch time and throughout the szn to be considered best ball player itw
@wiggyyJ@SamQuinnCBS KD was still more of a 2way presence I guess? I do agree abt Steph/joker.
Don’t think Marz is capable of making this takeaway but think biggest thing hindering KDs bitw is limited flexibility initiating O and while he can fit into any ecosystem as a secondary ball handler
