I think that selective optimization with compensation as you get older is important. This includes narrowing goals, due to less time left you also have less time to accomplish your goals. By being realistic with them you will not be let down if you do not reach them. #cofcdevsci

I find development very interesting because of all the parts that affect it. Development is lifelong, multidimensional, multidirectional, and highly plastic. There are two stages of plasticity and it is also influenced by multiple interacting forces. #cofcdevsci

I would assume that teachers would have an equal impact on all there students because they are all being taught the same information the same way. However it is proven that teachers have a greater impact on low rather than high achieving students. #cofcdevsci

I think that it is interesting that ethnic differences are bidirectional. Meaning that it has to do with both genetics and environmental factors equally. Before learning about this I thought that genetics had more of an influences than the environment. #cofcdevsci

I agree with Vygotsky that self speech helps self guide their behavior. I think that everyone does this but like he said adults do it "underground" and just express it a little different than children. By expressing there thoughts outloud it guides there behavior. #cofcdevsci

In responce to my last tweet I believe that having money towards free classes on safe pregnancy would help. I believe more mothers need to be educated about the risks they face. From here have money put aside to help these mothers that suffer from these disease. #cofcdevsci

I think it is intriguing that the U.S. has the highest rate of child birth. I would have never expected this just because of how advanced we are in compared to other third world countries. Not only are we the highest but it seems to be rising instead of decreasing. #cofcdevsci
