⚽ Every fan re‑coaches a goal in their head.

I built a way to actually watch the alternate ending, in photoreal, on my kitchen table.

A real World Cup phase. I move one defender, and Senegal's goal comes back offside.

Built with Snap @specs + @LensStudioDev, using CLAD to move fast.

Making Lens Studio compatible with Cardboard VR 🥽

I made a horizontal stereoscopic renderer, you can tweak the barrel distortion, FOV and IPD to match with your model

Now in the Lens Studio Asset Library! Example scene files: https://t.co/5SKAuzlsl7

When the tools you need don’t exist yet, you build them. @SteveJabs ran into a bottleneck with complex UI workflows, so he spent a week hacking together LensDesigner. By connecting directly to Lens Studio projects for a live preview pipeline, this tool is transforming minutes of iteration into seconds.

[Steve Jabs @SteveJabs]

I’m still not quite ready to share the full AR project I’ve been building for @Snapchat + @Spectacles — but I can finally show off one of the internal tools that came out of it.

One of the biggest bottlenecks I kept hitting was UI creation inside Lens Studio. Building complex interactive views was slow, tedious, and honestly painful to iterate on. Even trying to brute force it with AI tools like Claude wasn’t getting me where I wanted.

So after a week of hacking on the problem, I built my own solution: LensDesigner.

LensDesigner is a full WYSIWYG editor for building interactive scene UI for Lens Studio projects.

It connects directly to an existing Lens Studio project (or sandbox project), gives you a live preview pipeline, and lets you rapidly design and iterate on custom AR views in minutes instead of hours.

There’s still a long roadmap ahead before it supports everything I want, but even in its current state it already removed one of the biggest roadblocks I had.
