Found three killer use cases of o1 for academic writers and copy-editing. 1/3 Copy your draft and ask, “Read this whole paper to find any issue before I submit: <paste paper>.” o1 will correctly find various crazy little details that may even escape R2!

It now saves me hours of meticulous copy-editing. It's the first time I’ve seen an LLM doing those tasks in a high-quality manner. The jagged frontier keeps moving!

3/3 If you have to anonymize your paper: ask o1 to check for proper anonymization! Then ask the model to guess who or what every anonymized instance refers to! o1 is so good at figuring it out! Note I had to “prompt-break” the model because it did not want to guess at first.
