A 4th generation cattle rancher said that 77 ranchers per day go out of business due to Trump's decision to purchase beef from Argentina. Trump plans to give Argentine ranchers a $60 billion subsidy to lower beef prices. Is Argentine beef cheaper or just a 60 billion illusion?
Republicans have been hellbent to get rid of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI), and to ban books on library shelves they deem contrary to their political views which are often racist, misogynist, and homophobic. In the Bible, Jesus's Gospel teaches wokeness and tolerance.
Daily fire-patrol flyovers in each state might help to stop wildfires when they start. What about using drone patrols to monitor forestland to find fires before they get out of control so that can be extinguished.
There is a wildfire that's burned at least 15,000 acres of woodland forest in Reno, Nevada. This fire is already out of control. The mystery is why this fire, and all other wildfires like it, are not quenched at the beginning. How about daily fire patrol flyovers in each state?
"Ozymandias," an 1818 poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley, ends with the words, "My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings." Look on my works ye Mighty, and despair! [the cost]

Trump continues to repeat the misconception that, We can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon. Trump is admitting that Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapon. He's backed himself and the US into a geopolitical corner. Trump 1.0 should never have pulled out of the JCPOA monitoring program
John Barrasso R-WY said trade negotiations with Canada must continue, to bring jobs back to America. Tell Trump 2.0 who arbitrarily imposed 50% tariffs on Canada, a source of cheaper imports, lower prices and lower inflation. Instead, farms, businesses, and jobs are being lost.
Indiana has experienced severe flooding from a series of thunderstorms. Flash flooding and winds have caused power outages in parts of Indiana for 12 days straight. Hopefully, President Trump will have DHS' s FEMA provide resources soon. Ohio and Kentucky also have had flooding.
Trump and his administration are threatening states to turn over their voter roles to interfere with their elections prior to midterms. They're doing anything they can to rig midterms in their favor. Ironically, Trump and his MAGA movement are destroying US democracy at the 250.
Trump, Vance, and Republicans enable their voters to vote for them by lying to them. This is definitely not governing or even politics that supports democracy. It's shameful! Winning is not an end in itself in a democracy. When one Party wins, sometimes everyone loses.
Trump 1.0 and Republicans added 1.5 trillion to the national debt over ten yrs totalling 15 trillion. Now Trump 2.0 is adding 1.5 trillion per yr again, with ever-increasing interest. Trump's debt increases plus revenue losses to tax cuts for the rich amount to a tax on Americans
Jamieson Greer, Acting Special Counsel for the Trump administration said, We are ahead of schedule and underbudget. Yes, they're ahead of schedule... because they never got Congress's approval. And, No, they're overbudget because Congress never budgeted for the Trump projects.
The Navy shouldn't rename an aircraft carrier after a president who fomented an insurrection on government to stay in power in a non-peaceful transfer of power, after losing an election.
There is good reason a president is required by Article I to obtain permission to wage war from Congress: The president is commander in chief of the military. Congress is then able to prevent POTUS from using the military as his personal army or to jeopardize national security.
When Treasury Secretary Bessent was approached about the loss of jobs and weak job numbers, he responded that jobs are going to American citizens. His reply belies reason. The migrant and immigrant jobs, lost to detention and deportation, created jobs and businesses for Americans
Republicans routinely and derisively refer to Democrats as "socialists" and "communists." But it's the Republicans who refer to themselves as the Grand Old Party who are the socialists, beholden to their dear authoritarian leader in lockstep in the wake of Citizens United.
It's become tiresome listening to political pundits repeat lines such as, Democrats need to fight like Republicans. Really? Do Republicans in Congress actually have fight, or do they really just sit on their hands to represent one person instead of for their constituents?
Dirt farmers often require a lot of water to grow food, which sustains humanity. They shouldn't be competing with AI data centers which can use one million gallons of water per day. We should all, including legislators, make sure AI centers are not built near farm water supplies.
