@Boflaherty@UCCRowing This week has made all the hard slog of winter worth while, smiles on the faces and suddenly a summer of sunshine racing seems like a possibility!
Brilliant photo.
@josefoshea Ensure that the whole population can access the airport by direct frequent rail link with feeder bus / Park & Ride options. Do that and it does not matter where the airport is, at 300km/h the whole population is 60 mins from Tullamore!
@irlchrism @josefoshea I live on the main Dublin-Cork Road, and travel regularly for work. I can assure you there are ZERO public transport links to Dublin Airport. The only realistic option is private car. Look at Schipol, train station under the terminal. That is how to do it.
@conoro Sure what would us boggers know about city transport :-)
Another blogger suggestion - put 50+ low-speed (say 5kw) EV chargers in your P&R car parks so we can get home without stopping to charge!
@IEVAsso There's a bit of a flaw in your analysis I believe, it assumes everyone changes 20% to 90% of battery on every charge. The average driving in Ireland is 15 thousand km a year, call it 100km a day. If car runs at 20kWh/100km 3 hours a day is enough at 7kW
OLYMPIC QUALIFICATION 🇫🇷
Alison Bergin and Zoe Hyde have qualified the Women’s Double for Paris 2024 🔥
They’re into the A Final this Sunday!

Outstanding win for Zoe Hyde and Alison Bergin in their heat of the double sculls at the World Championships. Favourites Lithuania shot off the start and built a lead, but the young Irish crew passed them in the final quarter. Both go to semis. See: https://t.co/1hdpCaJt8J
@Cianomaidin Sounds like this aspect of the GDPR "Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous." has been missed out here! Or can we assume there is NO possibility of the "car object" and the "driver object" being linked????
Four from Four. Ireland's Alison Bergin put in a stunning final 1,000 metres in hot weather to come from behind and win the single sculls semi-final at the World Under-23 Championships in Bulgaria. Ireland's three other boats also won their semis. See https://t.co/1hdpCaJt8J
Here, the algorithm here is so f*****. Some of my sketches aren't playing or are being removed! If you see this tweet & you're partial to my nonsense, I'd really appreciate a RT of my tour details 💚

@IrishEnergyBot All of last month and for the first half of this month solar has met 100% of my requirements, including all driving in an EV. So while wind is down, solar is up, pity there is no way to measure national solar production.
Magnificent and powerful message. Going to be missed from Sky Sports this guy. Not sure what direction they’re going in with increased use of “influencers”
