At son’s first vax we got “I can’t pronounce that”, second vax yesterday they just walked into our house with shoes and said “that’s a long name, what do they call him at school?’ Why is this cultural incompetence still happening in 2022.
@Krista_BH@DrNadiaChaudhri Thank you for letting us know. Nadia touched the hearts and lives of so many of us from all around the world. Such a beautiful, generous and courageous lady. I will miss her posts. Much aroha to her family and friends and colleagues.

Awesome words @maurieabraham. If the tertiary sector doesn’t change then it will be the same old, same old. Dear Universities, please catch up with the real world
I'm looking for that first courageous Uni that says in 2021 there will be open entry based on Principal endorsement - as simple as that. The sun will come up and go down. Same kids will go to uni that would've gone anyway but you'll be saying that wellbeing is truly at the centre
@SiouxsieW@kimoelofse It is very normal to feel like that plus you have had so much on this year. Listen to your body and go with it. It is very hard to lose a beloved pet. I am so sorry for your loss. Take care.
Fantastic workshop today with @RReiri@coreeducation on hītori Māori. As educators we all have a responsibility to understand the history of Aotearoa through Te Ao Māori. Such powerful learning.
@Jordan_priestle A great idea Jordan. Thank you for the share. We will be adapting it for our school with a prize of some bonus release time thrown in for all who complete!
@banquotrilogy Being vulnerable at its best. I am so glad you had a supportive response. Sometimes senior leadership teams can get a bad rap but we are never going to know if we don’t take the risk and ask. Take care.
