@HamesRaymond @RestIsPolitics @RoryStewartUK @campbellclaret The French say it without making the "u" sound. It just ends with a sound that is a sort of cross between "er" and "ur". That's also how it's pronounced in the UK. As far as I know, only Americans make it rhyme with sewer.

I think this book could get more attention. The thesis is that (1) big tech economy is based on advertisement revenue, but (2) advertisements do not work that much, so (3) value of advertisements is misrepresented and the ecosystem is at risk of a bubble-like collapse.
