The world is hurting right now, there’s so many things going on. The pandemic, Black lives matter movement, & many of UCR fraternities being exposed for being racist & for sexually assaulting students We need to come together as 1 #UCR150 @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely@EddieComeaux
Students are not in the right mindset as of now. So much is going on for a student to focus on a single assignment. We are not using this as an excuse to get an easy A. There are students out there protesting for justice. Let's become a unit and fight for what is right. #ucr150
Im on the streets 5 hrs a day protesting. As an POC in the education department I do not understand why you arent supportin your students and their personal or collective life struggles. Cut the final let us fight your battle #ucr150#BLM @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely@EddieComeaux
The CTS is a great tool help show the academic progress athletes make you have physical data to see what needs to be done in order to help SA succeed academically and it’ll allow for us to see the disparity underrepresented students face @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely#Ucr150
@KaylaHern20@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar I completely agree with you I can imagine that it’s hard for student athletes to equally balance out their academic, personal, and athletic time which can lead to their grades being drastically affected #Ucr150
@kmelg001 @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely I agree with you a lot of athletes that are well known bring lot of attention to these institutions &I don’t think it’s fair that their images &likeliness are used for free I think it would be a good idea to consider it workstudy or work something along those lines #ucr150
The NCAA has fought off many lawsuits that clearly show them taking advantage of student athletes the exploitation is obvious and there isn’t much change happening. Students athletes with continue to be exploited if the laws don’t change @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely#ucr150
@Adams_Shawntell@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar As a transfer student myself I had no idea that there was so much regulation when it comes to a SA wanting to transfer it seems as if they put so many rules in order for students to not want to transfer because of its process #ucr150
The 4-4 transfer rule doesn’t seem to be fair I believe it might discourage SA from wanting to transfer due to things like there isn’t an academic exception Offered, financial aid, & the 1 year academic completion requirement @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely#ucr150
