Yes, absolutely. After listening to different sides of the argument for and against @elonmusk, @DOGE, and @POTUS, I tried to imagine how Congress would go about trying to do what DOGE is doing. There would be many arguments over various line items up for cuts. Some would want to hold hearings that would last for weeks to months, depending on how many pet projects or departments were being considered. A lot of political posturing would be done if or when a cut was made. In the end, Congress would get little done, though they would make plenty of noise.

With DOGE in the mix, however, this process is getting streamlined and put on high speed. It won't be perfect. Some cuts will need to be reinstated after further consideration. But for sure progress will be made. Which is far more than has happened in earlier decades, under several other Presidents who said they wanted to cut out waste, fraud, and abuse, and failed.
