Dads who are working on a side hustle
Don't compare yourself with someone who's 22.
"Monk mode" doesn't apply to you.
You have priorities and responsibilities they don't.
And you should be proud of that.
You'll get there in the end
Just build when you can.

@sofiadasilva_me I think over time community becomes more important.
It's just how we're wired as people.
There's a constant pull between the urge for freedom and exploration
Along with the urge to belong and give back to a community we belong to.
@focus2flow I do but I never go beyond 24 hours.
I think 16-8 is good but it doesn't have to be every day.
I think it's best to keep the "intermittent" in intermittent fasting.
When I did 16-8 for 6 months straight I felt like my hands were getting cold...
@JakeMontalbano Great way to approach the problem.
Young children need a lot of stability and structure around them as they learn to interpret the world.
@TheEvolvedDad Trying to learn more about AI and how I can integrate it into my classroom
Both for my students to learn better and to save time myself.
Seeing how much I can gamify the more boring aspects of learning arthmetic and grammar.
@WardensWisdom I feel like there's a tipping point with every habit change where you've broken the strong urge but you think, maybe just this once, I could play WoW this weeknight...
And whenever you give in to it can totally derail you if you're not careful 😅
@LitCaster I just unsubscribed to a bunch' because it was beginning to feel like a chore.
There was a lot of great content but I'm trying to filter more what I consume again.
Been revistiing Cal Newport's "Deepwork" and rearranging a few things.
@TheAaronOdell I've cut back on social media a lot the past 2 weeks.
I'm trying to just log onto Twitter once a week.
I've already started learning new skills in my free time and I feel much more motivated.
Also, my meditation feels deeper.
@sofiadasilva_me I've seen a lot of the dark side of digital nomadism living in Thailand.
It is very cool but I think most people don't realize about the draw backs.
I eventually settled on being a teacher with some interesting side-hustles.
@LitCaster I remember a study on how often people got sick and they found that people who described themselves as "just happy" got sick much more often than people who described themselves as living for a purpose that had meaning.
@TheAaronOdell It's surprising how easy this can happen.
I used to think all I wanted to do was work from home.
Then Covid hit and I realized it was the last thing I wanted to do all day.
