Elon is literally trying to remove the regulation that would require all cars to be electric, even though that regulation would be insanely profitable for him personally. His VISION has always been that cars were always better off electric ( Jay Leno has one from 1910 and it still runs and drives like a champ, never has it NOT) and we’re only ever powered by gasoline because the electrical grid wasn’t ubiquitous or reliable AT THAT TIME.
If you’re thinking he’s only involving himself in politics because it will enrich him financially, you’re wrong…the truth is exactly the opposite! He got involved in politics because of what he found in the Twitter files.

The institution of the year is the U.S. Supreme Court. They have laid the groundwork for utterly *dismantling* the regulatory state, which is more than a century overdue in America. I disagree with certain of their holdings this year, particularly Murthy vs. Missouri (which was actually decided on procedural, not substantive, grounds), but everything else pales in comparison to the constitutional hatchet they took to the administrative state. They’ve teed up the next President who’s willing to put the modern federal bureaucracy back in its proper place: the dustbins of history. That’s the most important work that remains to be done.
