.@LetEdithStay is home.
"I feel more happy now," Edith said. "I feel really happy to do things together now because when I was in sanctuary I felt very alone and I missed my kids and my family. Now I want to enjoy my lost time with them."

On #InternationalWomensDay, read this story about women helping women.
@LizbethMateo helped get @LetEdithStay out of sanctuary.
"Lizbeth is an example. She came to this country and was able to make the best of the opportunities she had."

On Feb. 18, @LetEdithStay took a risk & entered an @ICEgov office to see if she could leave the church she's been living in for 3 years to avoid deportation.
Meet @LizbethMateo, the woman who decided they'd take the risk & who is undocumented herself:

Happy and celebrating this important step for @LetEdithStay where she was able to go home after 3.5 years! There’s still work to do but let’s celebrate this victory! #SolidaritywithEdith
Three and a half years later, my client @LetEdithStay can finally come out of #sanctuary. This is not the end of her fight. We still need to get rid of her final order of deportation, but this is a welcome victory. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
More details to follow.

Finally -- after three years and four months in sanctuary at Columbus Mennonite Church -- Edith Espinal gets to go home to her family.
"Finally, I can go home," Espinal said to @columbusdispatch.
President Biden and DHS Director Mayorkas have the power to free Edith from sanctuary right NOW, which 30 members of Congress have called on them to do! Sign to support Edith and demand the same.
ACTION NEEDED: Sign & Share to demand freedom for Edith!
Two weeks ago, we filed an application for a stay of removal. Columbus ICE has now told us that they will only grant the stay of removal if they hear from DHS Headquarters and the White House.

For the past 3 years, Edith has been living in sanctuary at Columbus Mennonite Church to avoid being deported. The Biden administration promised to change Trump's policies targeting immigrants, yet Edith is still being forced to live in a church away from her husband and children
👉We need your help! PLEASE CALL these four members of Congress TODAY and urge them to intervene with ICE to free the Sanctuary Leaders using the number (202) 946-5442. Script on graphic and on Tweet below!
