Paul Washer with some absolute HEAT on the complexities of marriage. I love his honesty here:
"Marriage is the greatest instrument of sanctification.
How would you ever learn unconditional love if you were married to someone who met all the conditions?
How would you ever learn mercy, patience, long-suffering, heart-felt compassion if you were married to someone who never failed you?
Who is never difficult with you?
Who never sinned against you?
Who is never slow to acknowledge their sin or ask for forgiveness?
How would you ever learn grace, to pour out your favor on someone who did not deserve it, if you were married to someone who was always deserving of all good things?
The main purpose of marriage is that through your marriage, you both become conformed to the image of Jesus Christ."
Either repent and believe the gospel (https://t.co/HDy4iSZ15g) or keep my Lord's words out of your mouth, you pagan, blaspheming, blood-thirsty Jezebel.
Yes - JEZEBEL. I said what I said: https://t.co/RsKpkP1Phn
"When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?" Psalm 8:3–4
So when you look at your life & you see anxieties & fears & worries, the question then is: Am I ignorant of my God or do I just not trust Him?
—John MacArthur
I rarely know where I am going in my life’s journey but … I look back & see that God has been leading my every step & I did not even know it.

“This year, let us dissolve all our hopes into a single hope, to know Christ and be found in Him. May this be the year to desire a radically transformed, deeper, truer, knowing Christ as our All-Sufficient One.”
Elisabeth Elliot
No one could see God,
Jesus shows us the Father.
No one could approach God,
Jesus tore the veil.
No one could touch God,
Jesus touches us in our sin.
No one could reach God,
Jesus bridges the gap.
Jesus came to take us to His Father.
This Christmas season, let’s celebrate that Jesus isn’t in the manger, He’s not on the cross, He’s not in the grave, but He sits enthroned at God’s right hand and will one day return for us.
Perfect description of parenting.
“You fulfill yourself by denying yourself, preparing people you can’t live without to live without you.”
— Andrew Ferguson
Jesus Christ is the most important figure in history. No one else even belongs in the same sentence.
He is the God-Man. He is Lord. He is the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. And He is worthy of all our worship.
It’s evident that what is needed greatly in the church is the fear of the Lord.
Those who fear the Lord are not afraid to side with God over and against the world.
They loved Jesus’ bread.
They loved Jesus’ miracles.
They loved Jesus’ blessing.
They loved Jesus’ works.
They hated Jesus’ words.
Never love benefits more than truth.
Don’t go to church to be entertained.
Don’t go to receive a spiritual jolt.
Don’t go to meet a quota.
Don’t go to keep God happy.
Don’t go because you “feel” like it.
Go because you need it. You need your family, and they need you. Go because the Savior you share is worth it.
As much as I love health, I refuse to go back to the mindset New Agers have of “I have to avoid all these ingredients to a T or my body is not healthy enough and the government just wants to poison me with everything so I have to cook everything at home too.”
Enslavement. ⬆️
When Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, his point was not only that we should be humble servants, but that even the lowliest of tasks is pleasing to God when it's done for his glory.
Christian freedom is freedom from the law’s condemnation not freedom to walk in disobedience.
The believer yearns with their freedom to follow and obey Christ.
