Observation: The ditch on the antinomian side of the road (NAR, Word of Faith, seeker driven, progressive) seems to be more oppressive to men, while the ditch on the legalistic side of the road (IFB/Holiness Pentecostal, hyper-patriarchy/CN) seems to be more oppressive to women.
Holiness preacher Nathan Cox preaches that anyone who doesn't follow all of the strict “Holiness standards” (which forbids jewelry, wedding rings, makeup, hair dye, cutting women’s hair, beards on men, short sleeves, etc.) shouldn't be considered or treated like fellow believers
Yeah, but what I truly need is an assistant who dusts, vacuums, and cleans bathrooms.😀
I take Josh's point, though. If there's something AI can safely and ethically take off your hands, why not?
Think about what you spend your work day doing. Now think about what you wish you had an assistant to do for you. Now think about what you could do if you had that assistant. That’s what AI is for.
My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine;
For Thee all the follies of sin I resign.
My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
Lyrics: William R. Featherston, 1864. Featherston was only 16 years old at the time.
The 5 solas should be the foundation of the church. But over the past five centuries there’s been a declension. A downgrade. We’ve functionally replaced the Five Solas of the Reformation with five pragmatic, and often idolatrous, solas of our own making…

Lauren Witzke, president of Noah's Ark Discovery (Noah's Ark Scans) which claims the Durupinar Formation is the real Noah's Ark, is a flat-earther and antisemetic Nick Fuentes follower telling people to vote Democrat.
Avoid giving this group money or believing what they say.
Today, we're going to take a look at some women in Reformation history and in biblical history who exemplified biblical womanhood by influencing others toward godliness.

I think it's reaching to suggest that child was crying for another reason. If that were the case, what did throwing him in the pool accomplish and why didn't she deal with whatever he was crying about first? If he were crying about something else, why did he continue to cry and demonstrate fear at the same level as before she threw him in?
It's much more likely the reason he was crying and terrified before she threw him in is that he was already afraid of the water and he knew she was going to force him into the pool and/or she had done this to him before and he knew it was happening again.
There's plenty of information and context here to make a fair and appropriate judgment, which is why I did. We should be on the side of this child, not making excuses for his mother.
Oh my word, what is wrong with this woman?!?!
It's one thing not to coddle your child's fears, but to help him stretch out of his comfort zone in a way that's appropriate to his age and level of fear, but this is beyond the pale.
This child is clearly terrified, and a child that young and in that state of terror needs to be able to trust his mother to help and comfort him, not intentionally stand by and let the terror continue.
This is abusive (and no, I don't use that word flippantly) and she is damaging the bond of trust he should have with her. Teaching him to swim or float is not worth doing that, and if she's trying to get him over his fear of water, that just blew up in her face.
Great balls of fire, every time I turn around somebody else has lost his/her ever lovin' mind!
If she always loved to swim, it's likely she wasn't as terrified as this child was, so maybe throwing her in the water wasn't a big deal.
I started taking my children into the pool when they were babies. None of them were ever this terrified of the water, but each of them did express some level of fear.
You have to meet them where they are and bring them along gradually so they maintain their trust in mom, and also feel a sense of accomplishment and ownership at each level of fear they overcome.
The older I get, the more I realize how wise God was to instruct us in Titus 2:3-5 that younger women are to be taught, trained, and discipled by older women, not by their contemporaries - especially those who are influencers, podcasters, and evangelical celebrities.
Even the "Reformed" ones.
If a Christian's conscience is biblically informed, it *IS* Holy Spirit led.
The Holy Spirit leads us through the Scriptures He breathed out. See 2 Timothy 3:16.

If you follow The Holy Nope on X but not on Facebook, you might want to be aware of the following. (TLDR: He's in the Webbon hyper-patriarchy camp and has attacked/slandered Tom Buck).
You're obviously free to follow your biblically informed conscience, but I found this vitriol extremely disappointing from what I thought was a trustworthy ministry, and I no longer follow him.

"Dictating" is not a biblical term or concept when it comes to parenting or marriage.
Yes, when you're potty training a child, or "Everybody go to the bathroom one last time before we get in the car for three hours," that kind of thing is fine. But that is instruction and training, which are biblical terms/concetps. "Dictating" is not.
@xianpopeye@OneMustFearGod@meetuatthefence I didn't misunderstand the context. Joel Webbon and the hyper-patriarchy camp have made their context of the unbiblical subjugation of women abundantly clear, and if you're familiar with them, you already know that.
