Your entire premise is that the TV clock is perfectly synced to the game clock. But if the TV clock was correct, why did 1sec come off instantly at the start of the play? Seems to me that NBC was off by >0.5sec.

Also kind of funny how everyone is Zaprudering a play where WMU is clotheslining Marsh, who would have prob caught it.

Time for @NBCSports to release a statement about how their TV clock was off from the official game clock. They’re responsible for creating this hysteria. If their clock was accurate the way it is in basketball, ppl would have plausibly see why the second Hail Mary was granted.

Noticed this live on the NBC clock...It was out of sync

The officials said to put 9 seconds on the clock. Not 8 1/3. The NBC clock missed 2/3 of a second which caused the confusion.

@TheRealMrACL NBC isn’t it admitting it but their clock was off by 0.5-0.8s and the irrefutable evidence of that is when the ball was snapped on that play. Instantly changed from 9s to 8s before a second had elapsed. It’s a shame they created a hysteria over this when it was their own fault.

@BenScottStevens Agreed. If they showed the whole play, it would be really clear how the NBC clock was off. You can tell on the snap when it instantaneously flips from 9s to 8s. Looks off by 0.5-0.8s. Now with this evidence, it irrefutably proves it. Shame on NBC creating this hysteria.

@CharlesRobinson There was irrefutable evidence that the two clocks were off: when the ball was snapped, it instantaneously changed from 9s to 8s. Thats your sign something was wrong with NBC. Looks like the broadcast clock was off 0.5-0.8sec. Shame that NBC misled everyone.
