@TAmTrib@wayotworld I always think of these as the small subsect of women who have never been SA’d,or even hit, and do not know the quickness with which a man can over power her. No woman who understands this would welcome third world values.
This list from Toby Rogers has been living rent-free in my head. It's not like "they" got a few things right and a few things wrong, they got EVERYTHING wrong, which means this was intentional.
My now 22 year old son spent most of high school in his bedroom due to draconian Pritzker/Fauci lockdowns. He grew very depressed during those years and virtually all normal teenage life was shut down in Chicago. He applied early decision to college without visiting colleges due to lockdowns. He was accepted to his first choice school early decision in the fall of his senior year when life was slowly returning to normal, minus forced masking. His spirits perked up. He got covid during omicron and it was uneventful. In order to escape the every other week close contact quarantines, he got vaxxed prior to omicron. In the summer before college his school announced that all students had to be boosted, no exemptions of any kind. We fought the vaxx mandate to no avail. He was desperate to go to school and have a normal life. He had applied early decision and had no other options at that point. The school said he needed to get the shot to “avoid long covid” and treated us badly during our exchanges about exemptions. He finally got the shot. His choice not mine. He felt very tired for weeks. He was chronically ill and bed bound within 6 months of the shot and is still very ill today. We now have names for his illness - MCAS, POTS , chronic fatigue syndrome, and he has damage to his right iliac vein. He has not been able to finish college within 4 years, his college years were riddled with illness, we have been bounced around the medical community and charged thousands of dollars but given few answers. Fauci pressured schools to close, to perform close contact quarantines, to force masking, and to mandate boosters. I am livid reading his diary as I prepare my still ill son for surgery to stent his iliac vein and then hopefully complete college within 5 years. All so that he could avoid “long covid”….
Advice from the young C.S. Lewis: "Keep clear of introspection, of brooding, of spiritualism, of everything eccentric. Keep to work and sanity and open air – to the cheerful & the matter of fact side of things. We hold our mental health by a thread: & nothing is worth risking for it. Above all beware of excessive day dreaming, of seeing yourself in the centre of a drama, of self pity, and, as far as possible, of fears.”
@kidmanOyin@SIGMAPROFESSOR And yet, no one faults the idiot for just wanting to live a peaceful, happy life. You burden those of high intelligence with the expectation that they give back something of meaning to the ungrateful dregs of society.
the most annoying thing about figuring things out before everyone else does is that you look like an idiot when no one else can see the logical chain, but then by the time you’re proven right it becomes so obvious it was inevitable that everyone retroactively decide it was always obvious.
I grew up poor, raised by a man with an Ivy League degree.
3 luxuries matter:
Home-cooked meals.
A car that starts every time you turn the key.
Two weeks of vacation each year.
Everything else is BE.
And yes, I said luxuries. We ate at one reasonably priced restaurant maybe six times a year. I didn’t even taste sushi until I was in college.
Even those luxuries were limited. Every meal was made with store-brand groceries.
The cars were reliable used cars. Ask AI for “the most reliable used car with the lowest resale value.”
Vacations = free museums, state parks, beaches, battlefields, and camping. No Disney. Hershey or Six Flags maybe once a year.
The essentials?
Clothes: Salvation Army. Honestly, this one sucked, but today Walmart & Target make it easier.
Fixer-upper: I’m talking serious problems. You need a solid foundation, walls & a roof. Everything else can be fixed with Harbor Freight tools, YouTube, and sweat equity. We literally bought an abandoned house in a good neighborhood.
I live in rural Massachusetts. My neighborhood has $1 million homes. I bought an abandoned house and restored it, but just outside my neighborhood there are still homes for $300,000.
Medical: Before settling down, one of you should get a government job with benefits or join the military before having kids.
Time: This is the hardest part. My dad was a firefighter, so he’d work double shifts, then spend his days off repairing the house.
Activities: Boy Scouts, Civil Air Patrol, church choir, church camp, etc. Sign your kids up for free or cheap activities.
Education: Teach your kids everything you know. Read to them for an hour every night.
DAD INTEL: This is the big one. Build a network. Know where to get discounted building materials, who has tools, who’ll loan you a trailer or skid steer. Firefighters, cops, National Guard members, tradesmen & church communities have always been great for this, but those networks are disappearing.
Family: Live within three hours of relatives if you can. Someday you’ll need emergency babysitting or another guy to help lift something heavy.
What to avoid like the plague:
NO COSTCO: Unless you’re extremely disciplined, you’ll buy more than you need.
NO HOME DEPOT: Lumber isn’t always the best value, tools are overpriced, and those marble countertops start looking “necessary.” Formica from a local building supply works just fine.
NO FLIGHTS. We won a trip to London when I was five. It nearly bankrupted us. No flights anywhere.
Fast food. This was my dad’s biggest weakness because it was cheap and easy.
Again: NO RESTAURANTS. They add up fast, and you’re paying for convenience more than nutrition.
No drinking or drugs. Bad decisions usually start with small compromises.
No expensive hobbies. Your hobby is fixing the house, improving the yard, and coaching your kid’s Little League team. Fish from shore if you want a hobby. Dig for worms. You don’t need $15 lures.
No subscriptions. You don’t need Netflix. I have plenty of money now and didn’t even own a TV until recently. You don’t need home security cameras if you own an inexpensive firearm. You don’t need Uber or constant Amazon deliveries.
Now the big one:
You’ll feel like shit. You’ll think you’ve failed as a dad. You’ll envy the families with nicer houses, newer cars, and bigger vacations.
Don’t.
This is not a competition.
Your job is to be a great father, love your wife, raise capable kids, and become a productive member of society.
The antidote is gratitude.
Go to church. Every Sunday, thank God for what you have. Gratitude is critical.
It also helps if your work serves the public: firefighter, police officer, teacher, construction worker, sanitation worker, military.
Mental health problems? Start with the basics. Stay physically active, journal for 30 minutes a day & pray a full rosary.
“But John, that’s extreme.”
Maybe. But you’ll still be better off than 80% of Europoors.
@smolderingwurm@luinalaska Yes. He is autistic and very empathetic. This has served him well with friends and family who are honest and not manipulative, but unfortunately he encountered more toxic people as he started dating that he was naive about. 🤷🏻♀️ Live and learn.
@johannesmkx Women having been getting the “ick” since Eve, we just didn’t have a name for it. There’s thousands of little reasons we stop being attracted or become attracted to men.
@BowTiedBroke We bought a second house with acreage with the dream that one day the kids would roam free and climb trees but found the land to be so infested with poisonous snakes and coyotes that we barely went further than 50 ft from the house lol. A small city is better for roaming.
@NoahRyanCo It’s really cheesy today, but when
The Celestine Prophecy came out I saw the world differently and started treating life more like energy shifting through time rather than a rigid playbook of expectations. It’s was the OG mind-altering book.
@Schattenlicht_x Deporting them puts the women and children of the country they go back to at extreme risk. Execution of men as demented as this is the only answer.
THE SOUL OF CHIVALRY
Based upon the writings of Julius Evola, this 2 hour film takes you deep into the esoteric heart of the Middle Ages.
Winner of multiple "best documentary" awards at international film festivals, this unique perspective on medieval chivalry has captured the imagination of audiences around the world.
This is not a simple history lesson, but a meta-historical deep-dive, which seeks the eternal transcendent truths that formed the beating heart of chivalry.
What will you find in this film?
You'll learn about the symbolic meanings within the Grail legends, knightly initiations including the secret Templar rituals, what love and woman really meant to the knight and why his soul was tied up with his sword and his horse, why the chivalric virtues went beyond mere etiquette, and the truth about what Europe lost when the spiritual tension of that era collapsed.
