BREAKING: HELL YES! Democratic superstar Graham Platner crushes MAGA Senator Susan Collins in new polling with an impressive 7 point lead.

And it gets even better...

According to a Pan Atlantic Research poll, 48% of likely voters said that they support the Platner. Just 41% support Collins and 11% are undecided. Those numbers would be impressive in a vacuum, but Collins is the incumbent! Under traditional political expectations, she should be leading at this stage or at least neck and neck.

Clearly, the people of Maine want a change. And who can blame them? Susan Collins is an absolute disaster. She play-acts as the sensible moderate but throws her full voting support behind Trump's fascist agenda every time it really matters. She's a coward, wholly unequipped to fight the growing fascism in this country.

Meanwhile, Platner's rise is an incredible victory for the progressive wing of our party. He has been unapologetic in his rhetoric, calling for Democrats to confront oligarchic power, stand with the working class, and challenge military support for Israel.

Needless to say, this poll, while encouraging, can not be cause for complacency. This is going to be a hard fought election and Platner needs our support to carry this thing over the finish line. If he wins, it will unleash a tidal wave of progressive insurgents. We can take our party back from corporate interests and carve out a new future for America!

BREAKING: YES! Congressman Ro Khanna shatters the emergency glass and calls for expanding the Supreme Court to 13 justices and term limiting their seats.

We're done letting this corrupt institution destroy our democracy...

"We must stand up to this modern day Dred Scott Court," Khanna said in a video posted to X, referring to an infamous 1857 Supreme Court pro-slavery ruling which held that Black people could not be citizens under the Constitution.

"They have unleashed a process that will eliminate the only Black majority district in the state of South Carolina. ," Khanna continued. "South Carolina has a Black population of 25%, but they would be left with not a single Black majority district or Black political representation in the house."

"We need term limits for these justices now. And we need to expand the Supreme Court from nine to 13 justices," he concluded.

Bravo congressman. Short, sweet, and to the point is the best way to handle this messaging. This court has totally shredded its legitimacy by handing down one far-right ruling after another in contradiction of legal precedent, good judgement, and moral valence.

Clarence Thomas has been bought and paid for by conservative billionaire Harlan Crow and Samuel Alito is every bit as corrupt, having accepted bribes in the form of luxury fishing trips and private jet travel from billionaire Paul Singer.

Corporations and oligarchs control our court and the only way to remedy that problem is to expand it, nominating justices who actually care about the rights and interests of the American people.

The alternative is to do nothing and watch as Republicans exploit the court to implement their deeply unpopular, minoritarian, fascist agenda. The gerrymandering assault on Black voters that Khanna mentioned is just the beginning. If we don't act now, the court will strip away more and more of our democracy until all that remains is white Christian rule.

BREAKING: REVENGE TOUR! Republican Senator Bill Cassidy — who lost his primary after Trump endorsed his opponent — announces that he will not support the $1.8 billion slush for insurrectionists and pedophiles.

The gloves are fully off now...

"People are concerned about paying their mortgage or rent, affording groceries and paying for gas, not about putting together a $1.8 billion fund for the President and his allies to pay whomever they wish with no legal precedent or accountability," Cassidy wrote on X. "This is adding to our national debt. If there needs to be a settlement, the administration should bring it to Congress to decide."

Cassidy lost his primary this past weekend and has already come out swinging against the administration. He also voted in support of the Iran war powers resolution earlier this week, allowing it to finally discharge from committee.

As it turns out, all that it takes for a Republican to start doing the right thing is for him to lose his political career prospects. One can safely presume that Cassidy hasn't suddenly seen the light on Trump. He always felt this way but is now freed to act on it because he doesn't need to court the MAGA base. The entire party is caught up in fear and cowardice.

The slush fund has become a lightning rod of criticism and for good reason. Trump's Justice Department has announced that it's going to take $1.776 billion of our tax dollars and fork it over to MAGA loyalists, violent insurrectionists, and possibly even child molesters. It's a brazen heist and every Republican who supports it must be voted out of office!
