Youngest son. Favorite headache.
I keep the family’s secrets buried, their systems locked, and my sister mildly homicidal.

Her head disappeared again.
I smiled.
Then leaned slightly toward him, dropping my voice.
“You should know, she only threatens me when she means it. Which is most of the time.”
I straightened.
“Welcome to the family, surprise.”
Promising.
My eyes dropped briefly to the bags again.
“She likes you.”
I said it casually.
Almost too casually.
Then raised my voice just enough for her to hear.
“She doesn’t spend this much on people she plans to abandon.”
The curtain snapped open an inch.
“I’m not spending anything.”
I grinned.
“Correction. She doesn’t authorize this much spending.”
“Lev.”
I looked toward her.
“Yes?”
Her eyes narrowed.
“Touch him and lose the hand.”
I glanced at Saša.
Then back at her.
“Now that sounds serious.”
still studying him.
There was something satisfying about watching Zoyechka react.
She had been gone too long.
Too quiet.
Too far away.
And now she was back, hiding behind a curtain while threatening me over a man.

“Cute.”
“I heard that.”
“Good.”
I pushed off the table and moved a little closer,
I looked back at Lev, letting my smile widen just enough to acknowledge that I knew exactly what he was doing.
"And you can evaluate all you want. I enjoy attention."
@SasaTheFixer I let my eyes travel over him again, slower this time just to irritate her.
“So tell me, Saša…”
I tested the name.
“Do you always sit quietly while women buy you half of Moscow, or is this a special marital arrangement?”
“LEV.”
I laughed.
There she was.
@LeatherFangs tear that redhead out of his bed, and beg him to tell me the photographs were another lie.
Because I could survive Callum destroying me.
I couldn’t survive believing he meant it.
@LeatherFangs “After the seventy-two hours. Isn’t that lovely? I’m cured. A miracle.”
I could leave.
I just wasn’t ready.
Because the second those doors opened, I knew exactly where I would go.
Back to Callum.
I would find him. Scratch through every locked door,
