Snarky Music/Concert Reviewer Who Likes Her Music Circa the 70s and 80s. Unironically. Gotta love it.

The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts.

What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis. 🦋

I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply. We’re in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things. 💖 @dollyparton

“Why are folks getting dumber?” Because they don’t read. “Why aren’t men as romantic & poetic as they used to be?” Because they don’t read. “Why are people so vulnerable to propaganda?” “Why is everyone a conspiracy theorist?” Because they don’t read. Because they don’t read.

@Concert_People Just got through! Happy with my seat. 💗

[Level With Music @LevelWithMusic]

@Concert_People Still waiting! How about you?

[Level With Music @LevelWithMusic]

@Concert_People We can see the front. It just started to move & people cheered!

[Level With Music @LevelWithMusic]

@Concert_People Hard to tell how long the line is from here, and I wonder how fast it will move. Here hoping!

When kids are getting shot in their pews at a catholic school mass and your crime plan is to have national guard put mulch down around DC maybe rethink your strategy

[Adam Cochran (adamscochran.eth) @adamscochran]

Even the LAPD is saying the protests are peaceful and managed (I.e. it is not an uncontrolled insurrection requiring the National Guard)

Do you know how fucking out of line you have to be, to be so authoritarian that the LAPD is siding with the protestors?!

[Jo @JoJoFromJerz]

Trump’s pick to head FEMA didn’t know we had a hurricane season, his head of Homeland Security doesn’t know what habeas corpus is, his head of the Department of Education (who thinks “AI” is a steak sauce) doesn’t know what the Tulsa Race Massacre was and his Social Security Commissioner didn’t even know we had a Social Security Commissioner, all while his head of the Department of Defense is drunk texting war plans, his head of Health & Human Services is citing studies that don’t exist, his head of Transportation won’t fly in or out of at least one of our airports due to safety concerns, and the guy he tapped to lead an $18 million terror prevention team is a 22-year-old former grocery clerk with zero government experience of any kind.

But sure, keep talking about Biden.

I don't care if the tech bros think it makes their service better, I want to be able to opt out. I want to be able to use Google search without consuming extra water for an AI summary I didn't ask for.

[Sesame Street @sesamestreet]

On our street, everyone is welcome. Together, let’s build a world where every person and family feels loved and respected for who they are. Happy #PrideMonth!

RFK, Jr. : “Children who are vaccinated miss out on a lot of things in life.”

Yeah, like measles, pertussis, diphtheria, tuberculosis, tetanus and rubella.

[Andrea Junker @Strandjunker]

The elderly who’ve worked their entire lives to get $800 a month on Social Security aren’t bankrupting America. It’s tax-evading billionaires like Musk and Trump who are bleeding this country dry.

[Dr Ellie Murray, ScD @EpiEllie]

Some of y’all forget the reason we have food safety regulations is because companies used to do things like adding chalk to spoiled milk so it looked normal.

Regulations don’t exist because governments enjoy them. They exist because pure unadulterated capitalism would kill us.

[Hillary Clinton @HillaryClinton]

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism.

If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone.

Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

[Barack Obama @BarackObama]

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions – rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking concrete steps to make sure all students at Harvard can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope other institutions follow suit.

Donald Trump got Bucharest to give the Tate brothers, who face civil and criminal claims in the UK, US and Romania, their confiscated passports back.

But he can't get his good buddy in El Salvador to release a innocent man?

Two words. Yeah. Right.

[Brian J. Karem @BrianKarem]

Ahem. I have a question. Why would you consider spending money on a military parade while there are homeless veterans and those veterans who can't get affordable healthcare?

[Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez @RepAOC]

🚨House Republicans just passed a bill that would disenfranchise 70 million married American women.

Under the SAVE Act, women who took their spouse’s last name and don't have an updated passport or birth certificate would be turned away at the polls.
