I think it is one of those discussions that people should be having.

Its clear that abortion is a massive problem for the Christian side.
Just as being able to have the choice for abortion in certain cases is important for the more moderate stances are.

I believe this can lead to positive discourse though about solutions for those situations.

Like making rape so punished that people dont even think about it.

Or improving support that someone struggling would recieve.

To even the possible future discussion about working on kids in the womb to stop disabilities from manifesting. (I mean like stem cells research to help them be born without the disability.)

I think there are ways to turn this discussion about abortion into also solving those issues more aptly as well, after all, if the reason doesn't exist. Abortion wouldn't need to either.

I'm going to say this for @Leaflit

The poison pill that the online 'right' is currently swallowing, is the one that will lead to our fall.

The schism that was created by the abortion civil war, was not about abortion.

It is the schism between open discussion and disagreement vs the censoring of dissent for the sake of the party.

That is the real poison that has infected the online right after this fiasco. The silencing of dissent, the protection of ideas. We are going to see this happen more and more. Legitimate criticism will fall on deaf ears because that criticism will divide. People will ignore different opinions and solutions from their own simply because they don't like who said it. We will become an echo chamber that is as bad as the left eventually.

Will we be able to call out if we have a Hasan Piker of the right. An actual nazi wanting to bring about Hitler 2. Or will we be so party captured that dissent is silenced and expelled in favor of not losing, in favor of not dividing the party.

I understand the idea Leaf, that if we lose to the left it's over.

That doesn't mean I want us to become the next left. The next party that can't have an actual differing in opinions without one side trying to silence the other because they dont want to have the conversation, or the convo is to hard.

Then again, I'm probably just a retard thats getting blackpilled.

You mean you can't debate opinions on the platform of free speech?

I thought we were supposed to acknowledge our differences and have open dialog, not pretend they didn't exist on an entire platform.

Also this isn't a purity test, a purity test would have been denouncing the opinions, denouncing the person, making 10 videos about how awful they are, and encouraging people to block them.

But I do agree that person to person talks should be happening, not basically texting.

You can say. That the Christian side is purity testing all you want. But in avoiding discussion about reaching middle grounds and then blocking someone, that's leftist behavior.

@Vensaval Strawb made a tweet where she said she would be okay allowing the 3% if it meant removing the 97%.

Powdur doesn't want to outlaw not just the 3% but allow elective abortions as well because the disproportionately affect non-whites.

So you side more with strawb right?
