#HeatedRivalry creator Jacob Tierney shuts down an interviewer for asking about the sexuality of lead actors Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie.
“I don’t think there’s any reason to get into that stuff. I’ll tell you something about the casting of both of these roles. You can’t ask questions like that when you’re casting, right? It’s actually against the law. So what you have to gauge is somebody’s enthusiasm and willingness to do the work. And that’s what’s so impressive about both of these guys is they came into this being like, ‘Yeah, we’re here to do this, and we are here to make this story feel authentic and to be as real as possible.’ And they f*cking hit it out of the park,” Tierney told Xtra.

Personally I'm all for hyphenating surnames... My headteacher and her husband (also a teacher) did that and they both used their own surnames professionally which makes perfect sense to me.
Women shouldn’t be expected to give up their surnames after marriage. In fact, it makes far more sense for children to carry their mother’s surname.
A father contributes 50% of the genetic material, but 100% of the pregnancy, risk, labour, birth, and early survival of the child comes from the mother’s body. Her health, her blood, her organs, her hormones, her literal life on the line. If anyone’s legacy deserves to be carried forward, it is the person who creates, grows, births, and often raises the child. A husband’s surname isn’t inherently more “family” than a wife’s. It’s just a patriarchal custom that treats men as lineage and women as vessels. We don’t have to keep repeating it.
A 19-year-old woman gave birth to twins and a paternity test later revealed something incredibly rare —
each twin had a different father. She was friends with both fathers, only hours apart, and doctors explained that she had released two eggs that were fertilised separately on the same day. This unusual situation is known as Heteropaternal superfecundation
There's a lady on tiktok calling churches saying she needs help buying formula for her baby just to see if they will actually help their communities. She's called 20+ places and so far only a mosque and a tiny little church in Appalachia have offered to help.
I have taken great pleasure for 43 years at getting monthly statements for a Nationwide account, which was in effect never used as they refused my application. I have also informed them over the years of changes of address. It's a simple thing but it costs them.
Bloody immigrants coming here and…oh. Saving our lives. What an absolute hero.
Hoping he gets better as soon as possible so he can receive the thanks he so clearly deserves.
