In anticipation of the government's promised review of the Gambling Act, I took a look at the relationship between gambling and football and how that relationship effects British society. I made a podcast about it called 'Gambling and Football - A Complicated Relationship'
@Ankaman616 Uruguay are in crisis - a loss and a draw in the first two games. They need a win in the last game Vs spain to get through. Marcelo bielsa's head is being called for. They smash them convincingly and continue through til deep, maybe even the final, cementing Bielsa as a legend.

Suella Braverman asked for my help to get mat leave when she was Attorney General. As first pregnant AG she needed new rights. (I helped ofc, she took mat leave and returned to govt office) Depressing she now plans roll-back of rights for aother women! https://t.co/TtGf7qVD2E
Steve Bannon has *finally*been indicted.
BIG news in America. But let’s not forget Big Steve’s interference in our own democracy. (And how Facebook has facilitated him at every turn.)

BREAKING 🚨 | Reform announce plans to legalise discrimination.
Plans include scrapping the Equality Act, which would legalise discrimination against a worker if they were a woman, disabled, black, pregnant or gay.
From ripping up equality protections, to backing fire-and-rehire, to opposing a ban on zero-hours contracts, Reform UK have made it clear whose side they’re on – and it’s not working people.
The anmount of Tax avoided by Jim Ratcliffe's move to Monaco could pay for an extra 120,000 NHS nurses.
It's not immigrants that are the problem. It's billionaires.
'The club will remain open to late possibilities' while everyone else around us actively looks to strengthen. Feels like we've been here before, more than once.
Hi again @RachelReevesMP - I got this today from a young doctor from a low-income family. She can’t afford to buy a house because, while she’s paying back £2,560 in student loan repayments a year, you’re charging her interest at a rate of £7,800 a year.
Which part of this is “fair”?
“Low tax” conservatives would scream bloody murder if I suggested raising the top rate of tax by 9%
Perfectly happy to whack grads with it for 40 years, though, and scratch their chins about the birth rate
Daniel Farke still has some Leeds fans to convince but last night showed why he deserves support. Got his tactics right, 3-5-2. Got the mood right, helped by Ampadu’s intensity, impassioned fans and an early goal. Plenty of comments about Chelsea’s individual mistakes but Farke’s players forced the mistakes. They’re playing for him. Needs to keep Calvert-Lewin fit. Liverpool visit Decibelland Road, 5.30pm, Saturday. #LUFC
