@Chloe74767831 completely understand! I was also rejected from HTLA posts because schools assumed I would leave for teaching. it's all about finding the right school for you sometimes what we think will be great just isn't the right place. But most importantly look after your mental health
@Chloe74767831 totally understand this! I took a step back to TA after a year on supply and constant rejections. It felt so deflating at the time but totally worth it. I completed the academic year as a TA then was offered a temp teaching contract. I'm still at this school and now permanent
Make a point of regularly showing students how happy you are to have them in your lessons, make sure that they know you want them to do well and most importantly tell them that they can do it.
More effective than any teaching strategy in my experience.
