Pep Guardiola said that this was the toughest Premier League he has experienced. Slot echoed that. The floor of the league is so high West Ham were relegated on 39 points and three England clubs are in European cup finals. Don’t let anyone discredit this.
@afc_N7k Teams are more open and take more risks in the first half of the season, not just us. That and exhaustion. It becomes more grinding out results than playing pretty football. Not sure why so many fans are so fussed, as long as we are getting results it doesn’t matter
Everyone knows I despise the Greens. I think their ideology is deeply destructive and ultimately self-destructive. But I am going to say something that may surprise people. One thing I grudgingly admire about the party is that they are remarkably open about what they believe and what they want for the country.
Polanski occasionally misleads, as politicians do, but compared to most of the Westminster class he is strikingly candid about his worldview. The Greens are unusually explicit in their scepticism toward borders and the traditional cultural settlement of Britain. They are comfortable arguing for rapid demographic change and for a politics that openly appeals to distinct diaspora communities.
Labour often engages in similar forms of constituency politics, but does so with more caution and coded language. The Greens are far less guarded. They are loud and unapologetic about it.
The video itself is not narrated in English but in Urdu. The cinematography deliberately echoes South Asian TV aesthetics, with vivid colours, exaggerated graphics, speech bubbles and cut-out figures moving across the screen.
It is also striking that Pakistan’s adversaries, figures such as Netanyahu and Modi, appear prominently. I have not seen a full translation of the script, but the message is unlikely to be neutral lol.
Should the Greens be blamed for this strategy? Perhaps not. Political parties pursue votes where they see opportunity. The deeper issue is the political environment that has developed over decades. Immigration policy, particularly family migration and asylum routes, has reshaped the electoral landscape. Parties respond to the electorate that exists.
The media and political class who championed these policies cannot now feign surprise at the form contemporary politics takes.
We are watching a meltdown of historic proportions happen in real time with Arsenal. Wolves are rock bottom. Arsenal have a world class squad in their prime to win major trophies. This Arsenal side will be the biggest bottlers top flight football has ever seen.
@Mond112233@Kish_P14 Agreed except he is far more arrogant than your average voter. Never see someone so headstrong in their beliefs that they flip flopped on numerous occasions
Look, Nige. You're being hired to do one job: reverse everything New Labour has done. The quangos. The immigrants. Even the fucking smoking ban. All of it. Every single miserable tyranny Tony Blair and his accursed disciples have inflicted on fair Albion. That's your job. It's a big job, it's a lot to do, but it is your only fucking job.
Making the zoomers commute to the office is not in the fucking job description.
It is the effective policy goal of successive governments that this man standing in a shop doing absolutely nothing must be paid nearly the same as a middle income graduate worker with far greater responsibilities.
Our minimum wage policy is a joke. Pay differentials matter.
