I implore anyone who relates to this to look into the concept of “limerence.”

Limerence is characterized as a one sided, often unhealthy, and most importantly *uncontrollable* feeling of infatuation. It’s characterized by intrusive thoughts, compulsive behavior, and mood swings.

While not in the DSM there have been studies into it and how it often correlates with folks with ASD and/or ADHD!
