@eNeecie Every other day a new motorhome appears in my mother-in-law's drive and Neil hands me another bucket full of jewellery and cosmetics. I can only assume he's got himself a part time job I'm too busy to ask about.
26 May 1929
Norway 3-7 Scotland
Scotland’s first ever game against a side from outwith the British Isles
St Mirren’s Bobby Rankin opens the scoring to become the first person to score for Scotland against a side from outwith the British Isles!
Davie McCrae also in the side
Now that we’re staying up we can look back on this as an historic season, winning the League Cup
And we did it the hard way, beating 4 Premiership sides, 3 of them in the top 4.
We thrashed Motherwell 4-1 in the Semi Final and swept aside Celtic 3-1 in the final. Legends!
@ScotRail Had a lot of Scot rail shambles over the years.
This is the worst.
What an awful service.
We got on a 1316 train direct to Mount Florida due in 1326 for a 1400 KO.
Got dropped off at kings park 1400.
A disgrace.
@ScotRail Congestion which will lead to your ‘football special’ trains delivering fans late for the kick off.
Your fault.
What’s the refund procedure again?
100 years ago today 🏆
More than 98,000 people were present at Hampden Park to witness St Mirren winning the Scottish Cup for the first time in our history.
Goals from Davie McCrae and Jimmy Howieson saw the Buddies defeat Celtic 2-0 at the National Stadium on April 10th 1926.
John Cochrane managed a side of Bradford, Findlay, Newbiggin, Morrison, Summers, McDonald, Morgan, Gebbie, McCrae, Howieson, Thomson to glory.
100 years on, we will take on Celtic again at Hampden for the chance to reach the 2026 Final.
Can tell where Robinson’s loyalties lay
Leaves his best striker on the bench, the one who is capable of dragging both Celtic CBs about the place with his strength & power
Robinson knows he’s got his plaudits for making the final, may as well gift the club he loves the trophy
