This Israeli student speaking against hatred at a pro-Hamas event at @Columbia University's school of Social Work (@ColumbiaSSW) is one of the bravest women I have heard in a while.
Do yourself a favor and listen to her speak.

Someone should walk through the main campus of Harvard tomorrow shouting in favor of the genocide of a non-Jewish ethnic minority and let's see what happens
All of these folks who are so passionate about trans women aka biological males competing in women’s sports because of all the benefits of sports (physical and mental health, better grades, etc) didn’t give a damn about all public school kids being kept out of sports for 2+ years. In fact they called these students selfish for struggling without the community and structure and striving that sports provide.
I can’t take these people seriously.
They are fools.
Nili is the nurse you need when you are in the emergency room with a sick or wounded child. She combines empathy with professionalism, and her perceptive diagnoses and judgment save lives.
Her family did not know what happened to her until Yocheved Lifshitz returned home and told them that she met her in captivity in Gaza, and that also there, Nili continued to extend empathic, knowledgeable medical care.
Nili is sorely missed by her family, by her friends and by her colleagues in the emergency room.
We must bring her home. Now.

This is one of the most brilliant interviews I have heard an Israeli official give over the last few weeks, particularly in the face of an incredibly hostile interviewer. @EylonALevy should be the next leader of this country 🤴🏽
OMG I can't believe I'm saying this, but....go John Kirby?
TV Globo’s @RKrahenbuhl: “So, besides saying that he doesn't have confidence in these numbers, the President went further to say that innocents will die and that this is the price of the war. You also said that.”
Kirby: “I have indeed.”
Krähenbühl: “Don't you think this is insensitive? There’s being very harsh criticism in about it. For example, the Council of American-Islamic Relations said it was deeply disturbed and call on the President to apologize. Would the President apologize?”
Kirby: “No.”
Krähenbühl: “And does he regret saying something like that?”
Kirby: “What’s harsh — what’s harsh is the way Hamas is using people as human shields. What’s harsh is taking a couple of hundred hostages and leaving families and anxious, waiting and worrying to figure out where their loved ones are. What's harsh, is dropping in on a music festival and slaughtering a bunch of young people just trying to enjoy an afternoon. I could go on and on. That's what's harsh. That is what's harsh and being honest about the fact that there have been civilian casualties and that there likely will be more is being honest, because that's what war is. It's brutal. It's ugly. It's messy. I've said that before. President also said that yesterday. Doesn't mean we have to like it. And it doesn't mean that we're dismissing anyone of those casualties each and every one is a tragedy in its own right...It would be helpful if Hamas would let [Gazans] leave....We know that there are thousands waiting to leave Gaza writ large and Hamas is preventing them from doing it. That is what is harsh.”
My City Councilwoman, @CMShahanaHanif, was arrested Friday at a DSA-sponsored pro-Palestinian rally in NYC that included traffic-blocking and chants of "From the river to the sea."
Hanif, a protege of @bradlander, won 89% of the vote in her last race.

This was scrawled outside of our offices this week.
If the antisemites who did this think it will intimidate me and the journalists of @TheFP, they don’t know me, they don’t know us, and they have no idea what we stand for.
Raz is 5. Aviv is 2.
Both little girls are being held captive by Hamas in Gaza.
Raz and Aviv have been away from home two weeks now. Enough is enough. Add your voice. Demand their return.

America, this is your problem, not mine.
I have a country I can go back to that has proved it will fight for its existence.
The rot is so deep in your society - if you think it’s going to stop at the Jews you’re wrong.
Will Jews and Israel stop being on the defensive. It’s a tactic to make you look guilty.
Hamas raped your daughters, they murdered your babies, they burned your grandparents, they have hostages
They’re the guilty ones
That’s the only thing to say
Release the fucking hostages
Meet Aleela Taylor, a 2023 Fellow for Americans for Immigration Justice Corps, tearing down posters of kidnapped Israeli women and children in Miami.
Here response when confronted by concerned citizens?
"You're uninformed."
The arrogance is indoctrinated.
