@deepcliffhouse@BenKaspick I'm guessing this is what happens to a fanbase when you can't attack the POBO, people weren't pinning to trade away everyone under Farhan, they were happy to just be negative about him
@BenKaspick Why has this narrative developed that they are actively or will soon be trying to trade Chapman, Adames, or Devers. It's a prolonged slump, and frustrating start, but this whole trade one or all of them seems to have come out of nowhere very quickly.
Elon University was downright unhittable on Saturday.
Baseball pitchers Aidan Stieglitz, Mike Staiano and RJ Latkowski combined on a no-hitter mere hours after softball starter Anna Dew twirled a perfect game: https://t.co/X0CWQR41x6
Video shows ICE pulling over a couple for “staring,” who immediately prove they are U.S. citizens. Agents demand the car keys, a Fourth Amendment violation, and falsely claim the driver must be registered to the vehicle. ICE is not authorized to conduct traffic stops in this situation.
@tipping_pitches They aren't actually paying the league much of their money. Their revenue sharing is capped, unlike any other team in MLB. So they are paying MLB pennies, that's why they have so much cash. https://t.co/4dmhRc40Wc
ICE is not a law enforcement agency, they are impersonating LEOs, a federal crime. They are murdering and kidnapping people, state and federal crimes. They are doing so in an organized fashion, at the direction of the DHS Sec., which makes this a criminal enterprise. Arrest them.
🚨 BREAKING: Rochelle Bilal, the Philadelphia Sheriff, is facing calls to resign after saying she would arrest ICE agents and calling them “fake law enforcement,” adding: “You don’t want this smoke.”
Escalating rhetoric as tensions with federal agencies intensify.
@GiantHotTakes Well it sounds like MiA would be getting the Cubs top prospect OF Owen Cassie + otherwise, Giants would have to give up a lot to compete with that
Holy shit.
Police just arrested a woman for protesting and saying, “This isn’t just a foreign issue, it’s our tax dollars being used to commit war crimes,” in reference to Venezuela.
If that speech is enough to put you in handcuffs, then the problem isn’t public safety.
It’s dissent.
The First Amendment doesn’t die all at once.
It gets strangled in moments like this.
